Alright, I'll have to import it to ASCII and all that other jazz, but hopefully it'll be sweet.

I didn't know they tune to Straight C

I love that tuning!
They've only used that tuning on the last album, I think and the one before that was also downtuned but not sure about C.

And obviously you love that tuning, it's the nu-metal tuning. :p
I sent a few Wildhearts mp3s to someone from the Recc. thread yesterday, actually. I put in Vanilla Radio; Stormy In The North; Girlfriend Clothes; I Wanna Go Where The People Go; and 29 x The Pain. Now if that isn't an authoratitative collection... nobody mention Everlone.
Are they another one of your glam-metal bands?

I just got http://www.thesoundofspace.com/ from the classic rock thread. How awesome is that?

Radiohead are (for the most part) very much loved in Alt/Indie. Just not so much here.

I have a question for everyone; Americans, Brits, South Africans, Greeks, aaanyone. It's another of my 'I wonder how it is abroad' things.

How do girls greet girls where you live?
How do boys greet boys where you live?
How do boys greet girls (or vice versa) where you live?

here it is:

Girls kiss girls on the cheek for greetz
Boys kiss girls on the cheek for greetz
Boys shake hands, sometimes also kiss on the cheek, but shaking hands is more common.

Crazy Euros, right?

Usually with a hug.

A handshake, a high five, stuff like that.

And if you meant to ask how do boys greet girls, it's usually with a hug.

Well, Euros arnt that screwed up. Just polite thats all.

In South Africa....

Girls greet girls by a hug.
Boys greet boys with a handshake (or sometimes "The Rainbow-Nation" handshake)
Boys greet girls by a hug.

Thats about it. None of this kissing crap. Although i can wish...:p

Depends on the group of people actually. For example I never greet my friends with any of these ways. A plain "hey" with no psysical contact is enough.

The greetings you described are quite common here though except for the last one (guys dont kiss each other unless they're dirty priests)

I love Radiohead.

and to answer Jelletin...

Girls greet girls with a hug or whatever, guys greet guys with a curt nod or wave.

You asked the same question twice...:p

That is pretty much how it goes but occasionally with hugs for da girliez. However, if it isn't social and it is a meeting with someone or if they are old fashioned then a handshake will do.

superpeer 10-17-2005 01:09 PM

Oops, the last one is supposed to be "how do boys greet girls" obviously.

And it seems we like to kiss a lot, here, then, I guess. :D

No, the rest of the world is just rather unfriendly.:)

Shattered_Future 10-17-2005 01:16 PM

Girl-Girl - Loud screaming hugs. :amaze:

Boy-Boy - Headnod, occasionally a handslap

Boy-Girl - Depending on situation, hug/kiss (if you're good friend/boyfriend)

I just realized how fun it is to tune my Squier down to Drop A. :D

What about congrats/... kisses?

We give three.

Like: Congrats! or a formal greeting for someone you haven't seen in ages:

mwah, mwah, mwah, while switching cheeks.
