FOAD :)
Today, I went to the doctors, only to find out my mum told me the wrong date for my appointment, and now it clashes with an interview I have with my careers adivsor :( |
here for my weekly(ish) visit, stuffs good, my liver hates me, standard uni stuff etc...... everyone good? |
I turn my back five minutes and this thread starts resembling one of my brother's msn convos with his friends. He's 15, btw.
I chipped my nail :( something that's been increasingly common since i did away with picks & started using a lower gauge of string (well, lower bottoms, same size tops). Bastarding strings :( /Awaits for them to make an electric semi that uses nylon strings.
Try catching your knuckle between the rim of the snare and the stick during a rimshot. Ouchtown.:smoke: |
PAUL
hey ho morning everyone, I love monday. I actually got a proper lie in today. There's no hot water/heating again. A gas man had to come later last nigth because apparently what my mum was describing sounded dangerous :-/ I just went downstairs and there's a safety letter on the bunker.... eep oh and I think I just ate cereal with mouldy milk :( I saw a little clump of white - i've stopped eating it now. |

Oh, I have, don't worry, I used to be a drummer. Worst of all was I was playing along, riding on my ride (as you do), moved up to the bell, smacked the wingnut by accident, hard, the stick rebounded, flew out my hand and bounced back, hit my point first smack in teh middle of my forehead :upset:. Also, /pounces on Paul in large manhug |
Ive hit myself in worse places.
I caught myself in the kneecap once. I also went for a rimshot too hard and my stick flew from my hand into my balls. |
Ooooh, yeh, hitting yourself in the knee is bad, as is your thigh if you're a bit chunky, as it stings the flab like KERAZZY. One things for sure, playing guitar's a lot less hazardous than playing drums (though I once completely skinned all the skin on one knuckle when playing a guitar where the bridge was a lot further in to the body than is usual (it was shortscale).

'rimshot' LOL
:upset: |
lol, it's half one and I'm up ^-^
Gurz: they're available y'know. It's just they've a microphone built in instead of a pickup, so the lower end ones don't tend to be that amazing for sound quality 'sup giyz |
You n00bs should try slap bass sometime. Untold is the pain. As is playing fingers and playing Iron Maiden.

NP : 50 Bullets Later - Massacre On Broadway
Oh, please. I've done both. Ok, Harris style gallops can cause some pain, but slap bass? The only way I can see how you'd hurt yourself playing slap is if you have bad slap technique and keep your wrist rock solid rather than fluid. I used to play bass, too. Neither hurt as much as twatting your thumb or slapping your thigh with a drum stick hit with hard force. |
Nah not bad technique just lack of concentration.
|
You mean, like, missing the strings and slapping the fretboard? yeh, that could hurt.
|
I got a string stuck in my finger by playing so fast that it broke.
yeah. |

Which is good. Today we finished at 4, went shopping till 5:50, then got the brand new X35 bus, and it took us 25 minutes to get into bury, then 5 into heywood, BRILLIENT! it was well good, that bus is my new best mate. Unless i have any other offers. OMG, the North west tonight team are doing a piece at a music shop right next to my uni  |

I burnt my hand today.
We needed these things to dry at uni, so me and my mate took them into the tiolet and put them under the hand dryer. We kept turning it on, 10/15 minutes later the heat from it was imence, and the moter sounded to be burning, and it burnt my hand a little, so we gave up. |
