Recordings will be soon. :) I haven't gotten used to everything just yet.

I can tell you, though. I'm already abusing the C and F strings. :p

i needed help on sight reading :P

mad chimp 09-03-2004 04:08 PM

the best way is to just put yourself under presure dont go through the song. get some sheet music and try and do it straight through first time even if you slow the tempo.

jazzfunkboy 09-03-2004 04:19 PM

... that sucks LR :( reminds me of the movie John Q.

nm happening around here... my big camp trip with my band fell through, that sucks a bunch. i got two new cds a few days ago, one with jaco playing with pat metheny. its pretty crazy what they did together, and its alot of it is improvised.

im not sure what to make of the fact that school is coming closer and closer....

Wintermute 09-03-2004 04:25 PM

^^^
But don't do what he did. At least, don't do what I think he did. When I saw that film, it had been badly dubbed into Polish. Some big butch Pole just talked over the existing lines. For all the parts.

im going to be defretting my squier next weekend :) i cant wait! its gunna be fun! Would people benifit if i wrote a specific guide for defretting a squier p-bass? as there is that many people that defret squiers! :D

RaVen_Bassist 09-03-2004 04:29 PM

Foxfire 09-03-2004 04:38 PM

What kind of cheese?

Cheddar is the way to go imo.

Radiobass81 09-03-2004 04:44 PM

I can't believe cheese is the topic of the day...

But, I am not a big fan of cheese, actually, unless in pizzas.

e p 09-03-2004 04:48 PM

Which is what I'm eating right now.

LambofDeth 09-03-2004 04:49 PM

Who missed me? You better have. I'm trying to get a job, I found one that pays 71 dollars a day but I might not have time for it because of marching band. I also might get a job at Dunkin Donuts, because I like donuts.

Foxfire 09-03-2004 05:42 PM

I thought you were leaving till June.

Liar.

BassVirtuoso 09-03-2004 05:45 PM

I have 5 minutes of free time, yeesh.

e p 09-03-2004 05:46 PM

What job pays 71$ an hour? Wow.

Foxfire 09-03-2004 05:49 PM
I have 5 minutes of free time, yeesh.
I was kidding.
:p

And EP it was 71$ a day. We'd know the system was fucked up if it was 71$ an hour.

Crapdragoon 09-03-2004 06:06 PM

my future job will pay that. :O

sanray 09-03-2004 06:10 PM

i thought since I can read bass clef real well my music teacher might switch me to string bass and not trumpet but today I realized we had no good trumpets includiing myself but since I'm a senior im supposed to be good ha. I have a better chance of dating all the hot girls at school. he won't even let me play it for fun anymore.

on a lighter note I love my fretless bass so frieken much I hardly touch my 4and 6 string basses so much love for this thing

Crapdragoon 09-03-2004 06:42 PM

popinfresh 09-03-2004 06:52 PM

:D:D:D:D

I just sold my hockey skates after a few months been down at the rink. I got $450 for them (Bauer Vapor 8's) and 60 or 80 bucks for my Nike ignition stick. I've still got some other gear that might sell, but im happy. A workingmans 1x15 is listed at around $1200 or something, but I can get one around the 500-600 dollar mark like my 2x10 at a sale. But I'm gonna step it up and get a WM's 4x10 i think. Then an ampeg 1x15 or 1x18 later on if i want more low end, so I can switch between 6x10's or a 4x10 and 1x15/1x18.
I'm also sellin my BMX for around $500... so i'l have around $1200 soon if i can sell my bike (I have 200 now).

But hopefully my parents will put in a bit, then I can buy a brice sixer or effects or something.. I wanna behringer v-amp pro.. well, i want a Boss gt6b.. but they cost $1500.

So yeah, good days for me. Didn't win talent quest, but got another band, free sex, a wad of cash and a gig coming up soon.
