Thats how many posts we all have in here, I nearly have 1000 posts dedicated to Black Sabbath...sweet.

rippa32 08-13-2005 06:36 PM

Thats still a good number. I suppose that was stupid thinking the thread was big enough for one person to post 5,000 times. ah well. btw Im probably going to get Born Again next time I go to a music shop.

Brew 08-14-2005 03:33 AM

If you like Deep Purple you'll like Born Again.

Apparently Ozzy has choson to retire again, but this time I think he's serious.

Edit: But I bet the other Sabs will continue on without him...can anyone else smell a possible Dio/Martin/Gillan re-union tour in the next few years?

shadow_stalker 08-14-2005 08:02 AM

I hope they get Martin back, i think it's about time ozzy called it quits (no offense to him).

I'm so far behind andy in postcounts :upset:

geezer6970 08-14-2005 03:02 PM

there are so many songs the best ozzy songs are children of the grave, war pigs, and N.I.B. If u wanna hear so other great ozzy songs listen to the wizard and snowblind. My favorite dio sond is heaven and hell that song is awesome. children of the sea and neon knights are also great. and if u have some extra time on your hands listen to E5150 and the mob rules. i listen to tony martin but i dont know any of his songs. ian gillan would have been better if he stoo for more than one album. Well thats it hope u learned something.

Brew 08-14-2005 03:04 PM

^No, not really.

Thanks anyway :)

If any of you guys want the first songs from about 17 Sabbath albums, here you go.

geezer6970 08-14-2005 03:15 PM

geezer is my favorite person in sabbath. if it werent for him i would have never even picked up a bass. the man is a maniac on that thing. u wanna hear an awesome bass solo get the album black sabbath and listen, the song just before N.I.B is called basically. the whole thing is just a bass solo.

geezer6970 08-14-2005 03:16 PM

Yeh, I can play loads of Sabbath bass lines. My fave. is probably The Warning.

Quick tip - learn to use the edit button.

Oh yeh, Paranoid is my fave album :amaze:

geezer6970 08-14-2005 03:26 PM

who was better ozzy or dio?

classicrockman 08-14-2005 03:27 PM
whats everybody heres favorite album?
Paranoid and Heaven and Hell.

/starts to sing: "It goes on and on and on, it's heaven and hell!!!"

Brew 08-14-2005 03:30 PM
who was better ozzy or dio?
Tony Martin.

And I lied about my fave. album, I don't really have one...its hard to choose a favourite out of the 17 or 18 that I have.

classicrockman 08-14-2005 03:33 PM
who was better ozzy or dio?
Dio. :thumb: He was a better singer and a better musician than Ozzy.

But Tony Iommi wrote better riffs with Ozzy.

Hmm, I'd say that Iommi wrote the best riffs when he was working with Geezer.

True. But I meant when Ozzy was singing in the band compared to when Dio was singing in the band.

Iommi was great with both though.

I dont like Dio's stuff with sabbath as much as Ozzy's stuff. While he may be a better singer, I think Ozzy's voice showcased what Sabbath was and is, better than Dio.

Only song that I've played from them was Iron Man...it was good, but to drawn out.

rippa32 08-15-2005 01:51 AM

To that geezer fella that just joined, welcome your open minded opinions are welcolmed although the way you type is just like saying alot of words really fast with no pauses, it's really annoying, but other than that welcome. And to the guy above me, that is the second high quality graphics avatar i've seen of Vincent and I've also seen a Aeris one. Where do you get them?

shadow_stalker 08-15-2005 04:59 PM
who was better ozzy or dio?
Depends, vocals - Dio, stage presence - ozzy

Iron Man has awesome riffs, but it does get ait repetative after awhile

-:Vincent:- 08-15-2005 05:03 PM

I got my avater from: http://www.adventchildren.net/ff7ac/movie/characters.htm It's a really good site for getting FF avatar's (as they are nice and small). They have most of the main characters from the advent children movie...

hairmetalsuxx 08-15-2005 05:29 PM

AA-12 08-15-2005 05:46 PM

Not much man, it's been pretty boring around here. I missed Gigantour :-\

You?

Brew 08-15-2005 05:51 PM

Not much, hit the big 10k in postcount and got repped for uploading a bunch of Sabbath songs in the YSI thread.

rippa32 08-16-2005 04:24 AM

Hey brum do you have the Forbidden album?

Brew 08-16-2005 06:14 AM

Not yet :(

I have a few songs from it though.

Brew 08-16-2005 02:13 PM

*bump*

I've started writing my article on Sabbath, it should be posted by the end of the week :)

shadow_stalker 08-16-2005 02:23 PM

/pointless post :upset:

rippa32 08-16-2005 05:04 PM

Hey brum do you know why my Deep Purple thread was closed down? Im not happy as the noobs' is still up. And Shadow Stalker whos in you avatar?

shadow_stalker 08-17-2005 03:13 AM

It be Sephiroth from FF7, although the picture i have is from the movie they are making, i think it's called advent children

rippa32 08-17-2005 05:26 AM

I was thinking sephiroth, although if they make him like that ill be dissapointed, it doesnt look nearly as impressive as he should. Whens that movie coming out?

Brew 08-17-2005 06:09 AM

Final Fantasy: Advent Children is due out in September in Japan/USA. I'm not sure when its out in England.

Apparently your DP thread was closed because it was
crap
. The n00bs one is only open because he copied+pasted all his info from the website he linked at the bottom of his 2nd post.

shadow_stalker 08-17-2005 04:10 PM

I hate when that happens, its even worse when people don't realize that the info is just copied and pasted from the site

rippa32 08-18-2005 12:06 AM

Id like to know why it was crap, well i'll be buggered if i'm gonna try again.

rippa32 08-19-2005 06:24 PM

sigh. Sabbath thread is slow again. Ill try trivia yet again as it seems to usually help.

What is Tony Martin sometimes known as?

classicrockman 08-19-2005 08:50 PM

Don't know. Maybe the not-so-famous singer of Black Sabbath?

Foxymophandlemama 08-19-2005 08:54 PM

A fucking wonderful band.
