I always listen to the music my friends play without really complaining for hours on end, but when I ask if they can play one metal track that I think they might like (because they used to listen to metal as well, but ostensibly grew past that immature stage), they roll their eyes and start complaining immediately. With the exception of a few friends, that is.

he also couldn't understand why i found a kid who never goes to local shows namedropping bad local bands that broke up 5 years prior was funny to me
