I desperatly want to make a jazz metal band because I am hopefully picking up a new 6 string that would sound amazing in a smoother, more melodic style. It's quite comfortable to slap on as well.

haha

Dimmu Burger 08-06-2007 09:08 PM

But he likes Jazz Metal like Into The Moat! j/k

masscows 08-06-2007 09:08 PM

Me and my buds had a few jam sessions where we just played total complete noise. I wish we recorded, it sounded like complete hell.

None of my friends (me included, really) are very good at our instruments. I don't know anyone who can play guitar well enough to even consider playing death metal, and my friend who plays drums comes from more of a funk/alt rock background, so death metal drumming is something he'll never really grasp. I showed him how to blastbeat and he figured it out, but it was pretty slow and his double-kick, while consistent, isn't that fast. Ugh I hate my town.
but you dont listen to jazz
No, I listen to Funk, but Funk Metal is gay.

I've never even heard Into The Moat.

Eliminator 08-06-2007 09:10 PM

then why would you play jazz metal

masscows 08-06-2007 09:10 PM

LifeInABox 08-06-2007 09:10 PM

Because Funk Metal is gay, and I know some jazz guitarists and drummer who enjoy metal that I would love to learn more about the style with?
