It's free! :-D

JonM 01-23-2007 03:57 PM

Not anymore. They only released it free for a week, and then they pulled it and it says "stay tuned for a possible release," and I'll bet they're not going to release it, because it isn't good enough, and that's probably why they released it for free in the first place.

I'm not a huge Talib fan to begin with. I'm more excited for the new Madvillian.
I'm not a huge Talib fan to begin with. I'm more excited for the new Madvillian.
I've said it before, but I believe that both Talib and Madlib are artists that are only as good as their collaborators, which is why they make a pretty unfortunate combination. Madvillain is an awesome project. That's because Doom is incredible, and thus he lifts up Madlib to his level. Likewise, Talib only has two good records: one with Mos Def (when he was good), and one with HiTek.

Mos Def & Minnesota - "Ghetto"

I'd agree with that, allthough Madlib's - Shades of Blue isa good album:

JonM 01-23-2007 04:34 PM

Yeah, well, with that project, one could consider the artists on the records he was spinning his collaborators.

ATM 01-23-2007 04:36 PM

True.
