i never said i had everything figured out

i guess agreeing with sam means i have everything figured out now
if you're gonna say there are holes

make sure you have actually observed holes

rather than just an opinion you disagree with

adbforever 05-01-2012 02:57 PM
identify these holes
"theres a difference between wanting to do something and actually doing it

seeing is believing lol"

"hurr durr be a good parent that will for sure make my kid appreciate me!!!"

fingers mccoy 05-01-2012 02:59 PM

that's not a hole

2muchket! 05-01-2012 02:59 PM
check out everyone coming at me
that and zero sun glare has made my day

btw you cherry picked the simpler definition i gave on how to stop having ungrateful children, i qualified that in the proceeding sentence by stating how I would achieve this.

So errrrr would like some more straw with than man bro ?

adbforever 05-01-2012 02:59 PM

correlation =//= causation

both of those arguments frankie made sucked ass.

fingers mccoy 05-01-2012 03:01 PM

where exactly is the correlation/causation fallacy occurring

put them into standard form or something

Juddybear 05-01-2012 03:06 PM

having a kid, doing something with your life = stupid

trolling okcupid = doin' thangz

2muchket! 05-01-2012 03:06 PM

bro extra straw or hold up on the straw ?

bro ?

adbforever 05-01-2012 03:06 PM

he said his gf doesn't want to be fat/lazy

he's correlating wanting something with actually doing something (causation)

and

correlating good parenting with actually having an obedient/appreciative kid (causation)

Juddybear 05-01-2012 03:07 PM

brent you have far too much time to come up with the idiotic reasoning behind your inane arguments

adbforever 05-01-2012 03:09 PM

Juddybearassertion

I read Niall's request and felt that I had to look at this post. I'm so glad I did. because I LOLd. I literally LOLd. what did you say your education level was again? flunked out of kindergarten and was stored as a rape-toy in someone's cellar for the past 20 years or so, thus robbing you of the chance to develop *intelligence*?

fingers mccoy 05-01-2012 03:10 PM

it's not fallacious to say

there is a strong positive correlation between good parenting and appreciative kids
i want an appreciative kid
therefore i will try to be a good parent

it's a probabilistic decision

same with the fat gf thing

she says she wants to stay in shape, he trusts her

he doesn't think her saying that is sufficient to cause her doing it

again i say

critical thinking classes are useful things

attend them

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:12 PM
Juddybearassertion
we have years of evidence as to how you act

too bad frankie didn't phrase his argument in this fashion

nice try.

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:19 PM

which is why everybody disagrees with you

fingers mccoy 05-01-2012 03:19 PM

doesn't matter

he didn't say it how you're suggesting he said it either

adbforever 05-01-2012 03:20 PM

seriously you guys are fucking retarded

re-read frankies faux-baiting post

he was saying how he had a good upbringing and came out fine, so he's applying that same fallacious argument to the kid he had

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:20 PM

frankie's posts were pretty easy to grasp, i think brent's just really slow as well as disagreeable

2muchket! 05-01-2012 03:20 PM

I'll be more mindful of my audience when I write my book bro.

I'll even illustrate for you and everything.

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:21 PM

dude he wasn't baiting you, you fucking loon

still saying nothing concrete about whether it's correlation or causation

do you understand how correlation works

the whole colloquial concept of causation is basically just strong correlation
still saying nothing concrete about whether it's correlation or causation

please inform me, I obviously don't!!!

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:24 PM

you seriously think that somebody mentioned having a kid is an attempt to troll you, you are literally the most self absorbed retard ive ever come across on the entire internet

adbforever 05-01-2012 03:25 PM

mappy you always sound like a pissy 12 year old girl

witchxrapist 05-01-2012 03:26 PM

brent you're seriously a schizoid troglodyte

fingers mccoy 05-01-2012 03:26 PM

you can make valid decisions/arguments based on correlation

particularly because in this case it is likely to be the most significant factor excluding those beyond a reasonable standard of parental control e.g: mental health problems or w/e

2muchket! 05-01-2012 03:27 PM

adb do you like babies or do you find yourself getting jelly at their slim lined physique's?
