Last 1/3 of the video or so is that burton solo. Quite rare stuff. I like that solo more than pulling teeth too. :)

Mastodon's bassist completely screwed up the bass solo towards the end of Orion. Plus he had distortion on it, which is a no-no. Orion doesn't have distortion on it. It's either slightly overdriven or EQ'd differently, but it doesn't have full-on fuzz like Mastodon's version has.

I think it was overdriven and yes he did screw up the end no1 can replicate metallica they are one of a kind :thumb:

Mastodon's bass solo sucks balls. They could've at least done it decently.

Yea, either Cliff or James is the best one though. But we didn't really get to know cliff, and whether he would change by now, or whatnot. James was headbanging ridiculously in the 80s, but now he's slowed down a bit with the headbanging. Still great stage presence though.

I listened to Metallica in ages and then I just remembered one of my old time favorites that got me into metal. THE SHORTEST STRAW. God this song makes you want to headbang.

One of the better tracks of AJFA.

Not as good as Blackened, IMO.
