Ive just composed a little tricky slapped riff to show off... tomorrow is my first gig, did you know? Im so anxious. Maybe, if we had the time, Ill play it. My band is pop rock by the way, so bass isnt amazing. Anyway, if I play this little riff it will be soooo ****ing cool!

I think Im not nervous, I feel confident about it, with myself, and of course I realy on the other members of the band so I think we wont do it so bad eventhough its my first gig and the first gig of the singer... but she is a cold tempered woman, she would do it right surely.

OMG! My parents, my sister, my university mates, my friends and my gf comes... Its a good thing because Ill fell suported by its a bad thing cause if I wont do it well...

And its in a mid place...700 people...mmmmm...I would have liked to have my first gig is a smaller place but...

oh funknbass I had an idea last night and i think i'm gonna do it, and i'm just wondering if you think it would be good or not.
well i have always wanted a fender 75 jazz bass (the natural with black pickguard and maple fretboard) but they are so expensive, but the other day i saw a very cheap copy of it but with a rosewood fretboard.

so i was thinking of buying that and then ordering a maple neck off warmoth and maybe some new pickups for it.

what do you think? good or bad idea?

That sounds like a really good idea. I endorse it. If you want pickups with a vintage sound check out Nordstrand.

Hey All

Just got back from my performance. For those of you who don't know, I played Stu Hamm's live solo (the one that includes Love Thang, Moonlight Sonata, Sexually Active, and Country Music.)

I'm absolutely stoked - the crowd loved it, my teachers were incredibly impressed, and they've asked me to record it for the cd that the concert band and jazz band are recording in a few weeks.
