I've listened to much Swingin' Utters, but what I heard was pretty good. I hear people talk of Lagwagon, but I've never taken the time to get into them.
I think they either write a brillinat song or an average song, personally.

I have got the Swingin' Utters discography up on my computer, so you should take a listen to at least one of their albums sometime.

And I am in the same situation with Lagwagon. Only heard a few songs but they were pretty good. I need more.

Brain Toad 04-07-2005 05:01 PM

It's up for me. It might've been down earlier.

Anyone know the tracklisting for either One Cool Guy albums, I got them from Peter and he doesn't number his s'hit, and the tags didn't have them, and their site doesn't either.

El_Shiznit 04-07-2005 05:03 PM
State of the Union > Their whole new album
Yeah. After hearing that song I expected the album to be like that, but it wasn't. Which is too bad, as their harder music is better then their softer stuff.

TheBouncingSoul 04-07-2005 06:39 PM

I really like Lagwagon. I think their live album helped somewhat in the so called "revival" of pop punk.

But what do I know?

mr.k 04-07-2005 07:37 PM

I once heard someone call The Adolescents pop punk. I'm wondering how they are.

Explain to the black man please.

sketchyjoe 04-07-2005 08:39 PM

They're 80s hardcore. Some people call them skate of surf punk.

RetiredAt21 04-07-2005 10:28 PM

I'd call them pop punk.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 04-08-2005 04:31 AM

I'd say they pretty much define pop-punk

That's what I first guessed.

AndreTheHyena 04-08-2005 06:03 AM

The Adolescents were one of those 80's bands that bridged Ramones-inspired pop-punk with the LA hadcore scene.
Mind you, I'm speaking PURE pop-punk....

The two Swingin' Utters albums that were nominated. Neither made it through. They are my favorite to listen to. Not great in terms of impact (yet) but they are really fun records.

Shizzy,

For the one-millionth time, the Utters are not pop-punk. Please do not degrade one of my fav. bands in such a way any longer.

Thanks.
