I don't see a problem discussing Hardcore in here, though.
Most of the bands these fellas listen to have little or no hardcore influence at all, I don't think they understand. |
what?
|
How metalcore is supposed to sound.
|
it's not supposed to be breakdowns and clean sung choruses?
man I was WAY off |

Regardless, I'm just saying that on the occasion that someone mentions a band and someone says 'oh they're hardcore' (in reference to them not being metalcore), I don't see that as a big deal. Meaning, who cares. It isn't worth mentioning, you can discuss hardcore in here. It's not like we have a hardcore thread, but some people don't like venturing over to the hardcore forum. That doesn't cover semantic arguments, or your argument, which I agree with. Not many people seem to be able to discern actual hardcore influences within metalcore bands in this thread. Though it's gotten better—anyone remember all of HBP's arguments that Converge weren't metalcore because they didn't have breakdowns (even though they have plenty of breakdowns). |
dammit no one tells me anything anymore
|
Sick avatar, Thomas.
|
I'm still partial to yours coke honestly
|

in the middle of shooting basically they brought a bunch of ridiculous costumes, I have footage of tom blasting to finntroll wearing a grey beard and straw hat, there's a bunch of random shots of them in green alien masks and troll masks, it's ****ing ridiculous loooool |

Their best imo. |
im a little more partial to two
|
I agree (with Retired). Polygraph is one of my all time favourite album openers. I think I actually like the albums in order of title but I flip-flop between Two and Three.
So ****ing pissed about their break-up. They had such a tough run. |
ya i found out about them then like a week later they broke-up, i was so pissed
|
i still haven't gotten two or three yet. one never really caught on with me really, i'll have to give it another listen.
