Read up on it. I want to see the DVD about it, they really put a lot into it. I only know parts of it but what I know really makes me appreciate it more.

I think I like 'n Crugu Bradului more, though. My biggest issue with the band is their tendency to just go completely batshit insane. They lose me when they take it too far.

R&M turned me off to Om when I first came here. I asked about it and everyone was saying it was boring and pretentious.

It is kind of pretentious, but not to a fault. They just had a lot of ideas going into it that it comes off a little bloated.

Ok Tyler I'll get that album next, Om has me craving more.

Check it out though Matt, it's really one of those albums you need to hear whether you will like it or not.

It's pretty unique stuff. Some disjointed hooks that take a while to "get", but they make really effective use of the bass and the production is relatively clear and clean without it sounding processed or manufactured.

I just threw on 'n Crugu Bradului, I forgot how awkward this album starts off. The first track is so dissonant and weird at first, though it's clearly intentional. Starts off all over the place and slowly ties itself together, it's solid.

this Hatenwar seems elite, will be tracking it down. i need more shitty nsbm demos.

i like bands that are willing to take risks, but i hate bands that try to go "out there" just for the sake of it. NB sounds very interesting i'm going to check them out soon.

Sear Bliss is kind of cool. Symphonic-ish melo-black but they use actual brass instruments instead of bad synths.
