I used powertab for the file but now can't save it as an mp3 in Audition or FL4.

Now open up that MIDI file in Windows Media Player by opening WMP and going to file > open. When you've got the MIDI file open then you can go to file > save as and put in your extension manually. Say your files called "song", all you need to do is save it in WMP as "song.mp3" or "song.wav".

Finding a program that'll do it for you would probably be a better idea though.

as far as i know basstabs.com (or guitartabs.com for all you non four stringers), and tabcrawler still work. But I liked the set-up of MX the best

How did you find out about the forums then if you don't use MX tabs?

I did use it at first, but once I noticed the forums I joined up and started posting. From there my taste in music changed and I was using tabs less and less as I got better at guitar. Now I listen to metal (which I didn't at all when I first started playing) and only use tabs when I really feel the need. When I do feel that need, I never use mx.
