Well it was during the recording process, and Derek Sherinian did say at one point during the studio footage that they were "making history". I know FII was supposed to be a much different album than what it turned out to be, so possibly Petrucci thought it was their best album before Kevin Shirley got his hands on it. Regardless, FII does have some fantastic songs on it.

I believe I counted your vote for thread of thought, also, since you and scenestheater posted right before I made the vote official.

That compromise is ok too, but I think it makes more English sense the way I had it. But maybe that's just me being defensive. :p

I really don't like the Scenes from a Thread part, the MXtropolis part is cool though.

How did something like Thread from a Memory get up there and not Thread of Eternity?

I like Thread of Eternity probably the most, but that wasn't counted like Mathias said... I'd vote MXtropolis Part II: Scenes of a Thread, Thread of Thought sounds kind of stupid..
