Lord Tim 12-12-2005 06:26 AM

Ah, damn - well, next gig then! :)

Apocalyptic Raids 12-12-2005 07:36 AM

Whenever Lord come to Newcastle! :)

dUSK 12-12-2005 07:38 AM

I downloaded a couple of Edguy songs from Hellfire Club earlier tonight. It's now on my ever growing list of albums to buy.

Lord Tim 12-12-2005 07:58 AM

Grab Mysteria, Under The Moon and We Don't Need A Hero - killer songs!

dUSK 12-12-2005 08:11 AM

Mysteria was one of the 3 songs I got. It's awesome, but I won't get the rest because I like buying albums and not knowing exactly what to expect.

Same, but different Newcastle :p

I would reccommend King of fools, Navigator and down to the devil from Hellfire club

Same here, and I have a bloody lot of CD's to buy. Christmas looks promising.

shadow_stalker 12-12-2005 11:49 AM

I dont have that many cds to buy that i can think of, i need to get into some more power metal bands so i can widen y variety abit, Sonic firestorm has spent along time on a constant repeat on my cd player

CaptainWaits 12-12-2005 11:53 AM

hey guys! I haven't been in here for quite a while, but I thought I'd make my presence known, by saying Rhapsody's "Power of the Dragonflame" is one kicka*s heavy Power Metal album!!

Lord Abortion 12-16-2005 09:15 AM

*bump*

Yes, Rhapsody are awesome.

MetalOz 12-16-2005 10:02 AM
I also whole heartedly recommend Hellfire Club! Best Edguy album IMO and if you like your metal with balls, check out the bonus track which is a version Mysteria with Mille Petrozza from Kreator doing guest vocals - KILLER!
I have the album which certainly kicks ***, but no bonus track for me, you wouldn't happen to have an mp3 you could upload??? :naughty:

shadow_stalker 12-16-2005 12:46 PM

Im getting the superheros dvd for christmas, should be ****ing awesome

Trev 12-16-2005 12:54 PM

I have all the Edguy albums, they're a great band, Rocket Ride is a decent album too (comes out late January).

I really can't wait for Rhapsody's live album to be released, it'll be no doubt be a cracker.

Lord Abortion 12-16-2005 03:08 PM

Yeah, I'm probably going to Get Mandrake soonish

Shattered_Future 12-16-2005 03:33 PM

Rhapsody has the dubious distinction of having their own genre on my iPod.

"Super Awesome Epic Orchestrated Symphonic Power Metal". :naughty:

Does LORD sound anything like Dungeon? If so, I gotta pick up some of their albums in the near future...

Apocalyptic Raids 12-16-2005 05:32 PM

I think it is supposed to be a slightly different direction than Dungeon, but I haven't heard it yet. Tim can answer this one :p

Lord Tim 12-16-2005 08:23 PM

Wasn't Rhaposdy calling themselves "Hollywood Metal" at one stage? :p

The first LORD album sounds more like the more progressive moments on One Step Beyond and is a little more introspective. The next lot will sound exactly like Dungeon when it's out. :)

Check out www.lord.net.au for samples of the first album. :)

shadow_stalker 12-17-2005 03:24 PM

I've never really listend to much Rhapsody, i will one day though

Vortigon 12-17-2005 04:51 PM

Rhapsody are very good, I got Symphony of Enchanted Lands and SoEL II this week, so epic, so big. Great stuff.

Sounds awesome, and cheers for the link, I was looking for one like that.

SoEL is awesome, i love the orchestral elements of it. that album made me start listening to a bit of classical music again.

anyway, after christmas, when i have money, i'm going to buy:
Edguy - Hellfire Club
Blind Guardian - Nightfall Over Middle-Earth
DragonForce - Inhuman Rampage
Iced Earth - a lot of albums.

i already have all these on my computer, but i want real copies, and if i ask my parents to get them they'll just get me something mainstream instead :(

Stoic 12-18-2005 11:00 AM

Ah in a CD store in my city they sell BG albums for 6 euros each :p

w00t! i'm not sure if i've ever actually seen one in a shop, i probably have but i'm not sure. amazon tend to charge a fair bit for them, so i'm gonna see where they're cheapest.

Lord Abortion 12-18-2005 11:13 AM

Yeah, the only times you get them over here is in import sections, and they go for about £20...Internet orders are the way to go.

Shattered_Future 12-18-2005 01:07 PM

Regarding LORD: Awesome. Thanks Tim. :thumb:

Shattered_Future 12-18-2005 08:54 PM

I just wrote an interpretation of Don't Say A Word by Sonata Arctica for health (don't ask).

All I can say: Wow. That song turned out COMPLETELY different from what I thought.

Lord Abortion 12-19-2005 10:05 AM

I really love those songs now. I used to think that RN only started really at TBWWTBARP(acronym and a half:p) but now I appreciate the first tracks on it alot more.

Kronos 12-19-2005 10:09 AM

I feel smug as I always said that the first half of the album was just as good, if not better than the second.

Not long ago I was a poor lonely voice in the wilderness. No Longer.
cue triumphant laughter....

Lord Abortion 12-19-2005 10:13 AM

That bit in Blinded no more where it just stops and goes into the solo...oh my...

NP-Symphony X- smoke and meers

Kronos 12-19-2005 10:24 AM

Hahahaha - "meers"

Stop poking fun at folk with impediments...
