ya and i gave him some beginers songs and eruption for motivation

Badmoon 08-20-2004 07:48 PM

Sure they are. They've done a lot for Rock, and you should respect them for that. They've even been watching out for the kids man  Because there is no Kiss alcohol, or cigarettes, ect...

thunderzstruck 08-20-2004 07:49 PM

eruption is...

Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 07:50 PM

O.k. Gene Simmons is the closest to a god
not peter Criss

clapton
lovin' spoonful
& too many more to mention... so if anyone's got any ideas or is interested in visiting my bar (sorry for shameless plug), post a reply here or drop me a message.
cheers guys :thumb:
The worst thing you can do is just learn songs.

First some work, then learn songs to get more skilled.
ya and i gave him some beginers songs and eruption for motivation
I don't exactly know what you're trying to say, because of your lack of punctuation and smooth flowing sentances.

But he can't learn eruption right away. And you didn't either.

thunderzstruck 08-20-2004 07:55 PM

ok on VH1 tomorrow night 10pm central time behind the music of ac/dc is on!!!!!!!!!!!

Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 07:58 PM

I'm sorry. I mentioned eruption for motivation. I know alot of people who wanted to learn guitar and the kids just gave up because they couldn't play certain songs.

What if I was to say I don't think Robert Plant is a Rock God. He has a cat like voice, and too many gay antics for a strait man.

Watcha gonna do bitch? :p

thunderzstruck 08-20-2004 08:01 PM

yes trying eru[tion when you first start is not a good idea

thunderzstruck 08-20-2004 08:02 PM

anyone going to watch behind the music of ac/dc?

thunderzstruck 08-20-2004 08:07 PM

Anyone Here?

Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 08:09 PM

I never said Plant was a god i just happen to like his lyrics and his singing and i love Zeppelin. Is Jerry Garcia a god?

I will be watching i really like AC/DC

BludgeonySteve 08-20-2004 08:09 PM

Tripple post...

I don't care about behind the music or any of that crap. Plus they really aren't that great. Like I can see why some people say that they are the greatest band in the world. Because their music appeals to the masses. But to me they're average to sort of above average.

Angus can really play though :)

BludgeonySteve 08-20-2004 08:10 PM

Garcia>Plant.

K? k.

Badmoon 08-20-2004 08:13 PM

Garcia IS THE Rock God.

BludgeonySteve 08-20-2004 08:14 PM

Garcia is the hippie god ;).

Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 08:16 PM

Yea Ac/DC is really basic rock i find them enjoyable (might go to a concert in their upcoming tour) but i prefer a band with variety such as Zeppelin, the allman brothers band or Hendrix.

Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 08:17 PM

I'm seeing Deep purple tomorrow

themightyquinn23 08-20-2004 08:25 PM
Garcia IS THE Rock God.
What makes you say that?
I'm seeing Deep purple tomorrow
Broken Arrow 08-20-2004 08:47 PM
No Blackmore, no DP. Sorry dude.
Ya that sucks :upset:

However Thin Lizzy is opening, Satriaini will be playing, and Deep Purple Will still ****ing rock :thumb:

Badmoon 08-20-2004 09:00 PM
What makes you say that?
Because he does it all, and is just an enigmatic icon and a good person. He's the man behind The Grateful Dead, Jam Bands, Country Rock, Bluegrass Rock, ect...

He sung well, had a great musical sense, wrote great, played fabulous electric/acoustic guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, ect...

BludgeonySteve 08-20-2004 09:04 PM

I don't know about rock god. But he is a music god (there are a bunch of music gods). Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton come to mind as other music gods. Dylan for his songwriting skills and clapton for being the greatest emotional guitarist.

Can anybody else think of more music gods?

Badmoon 08-20-2004 09:10 PM

Janis

Against Miik! 08-20-2004 09:11 PM

Anybody like Hendrix. They just seem to glow when they are on stage.

BludgeonySteve 08-20-2004 09:13 PM

Hendrix rocks as we all know. One of (not the greatest) guitarists of all time. My favorite album is electric ladyland. Everybody always says that Are you experienced is his best because of purple haze. I think that the music is just generally better on electric ladyland.

Anyone else agree?

themightyquinn23 08-20-2004 09:21 PM

Hendrix and Morrison

Definitely, Electric Ladyland is in the top 3 of greatest albums ever IMO. I love the diversity of it all, and Hendrix was a genious in the studio just as he was a genious on the guitar.
