I'll make up for this with lots of Pride Kills/Die Young/My Luck/Unit 21/ANS shows.

Everyone should listen if they like good poppy stuff.

br3ad_man 11-19-2005 06:10 AM

Are Champion and Internal Affairs good bands? Like worth seeing live?

BuddyBigsby 11-19-2005 06:16 AM

Yup.

im seeing Between the buried and me today

whiteminority 11-19-2005 10:23 AM

nice. who are they playing with?

NewKindofArmy03 11-19-2005 10:43 AM

Supposedly the Dillinger Four/F'ucked Up/Paint it Black show is going to end up being a fest. F'ucked Up are also playing that night somewhere else in Philly.

And this is why AFI rules, Davey Havok's blog or whatever.
I've been listeing to Modern Lif is War a bit in the gym lately. My ocsxe boyfirends turned me onto them. Now, I do believe I'd like to see them live as I'd imagine them to be very engergetic and because, well, we're all dead Ramones. This brought me to listening to 108. Ah the memories. I never wore Krishna beads. I defintiely wore beads though. Actually, come to think of it, Jade made me my first choker.

In other similar matters - within the past couple of days I've run into both Andrew from Strife and Scott from EarthCrisis. I guess Frank Vicario should be next. Perhaps it's a sign? Perhaps we should all pull out the magnums and the ashen grey hoodies? Perhaps.
He still needs to stop dressing like a fag though.

He rules, so does AFI.
/kills you and steals your ticket
It's not like you can't go see them some time.

whiteminority 11-19-2005 12:40 PM

AFI is pretty good for the most part besides some bad songs here and there.

Special Brew 11-19-2005 12:47 PM
It's not like you can't go see them some time.
I'm poor and I seriously doubt they're coming to Kentucky. I can't travel very far for shows. :-/

BuddyBigsby 11-19-2005 12:48 PM

BTBAM really aren't anything to get your panties in a twist about live.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-19-2005 12:49 PM

They sounded like crap when I saw them, could have been PA problems.

SubtleDagger 11-19-2005 12:56 PM

They sounded great when I saw them, but if they hadn't have played new songs I wouldn't have gone, since they sound exactly like their CDs.

BuddyBigsby 11-19-2005 01:01 PM

They've always sounded fine when I've seen them, its just that they don't move or even really seem to get into it. They're good to watch but I wouldn't pay to see them.

SubtleDagger 11-19-2005 01:02 PM

The singer was into it. On the non-keyboard songs. And the bassist was too.

The others were shredding and sweeping and such.

I'm a fanboy

Yeah, it's harder to get into music and put on a show when your shredding

SubtleDagger 11-19-2005 01:11 PM

Come to think of it, their bassist looks like Rider Strong from Boy Meets World.
It is all out of concern for Vince, the longer he goes on without shaving the more yetish he becomes. :(

He was such a charming and handsome young man when he had no beard, now look at him.

I like it.

I like yeti, not chaming and handsome.

shane italian 11-19-2005 02:40 PM
And this is why AFI rules, Davey Havok's blog or whatever.
I got to meet him. :D :p

whiteminority 11-19-2005 02:50 PM

is he cool or a dick? i hear he is a dick in person.

shane italian 11-19-2005 02:51 PM

He seemed nice, I didn't go into an intimate conversation or anything. But that could have been because a friend of ours who he was with had us come over instead of us running up to him.
