Oh my.
Are those Peace kits the same as mine?

Berk 04-30-2006 12:44 PM

Wtf?
Thats was so random.
Friggin tom angles.

Janeway 04-30-2006 12:48 PM

It's the mounting system.
It's so bad. The only way you can get them in a decent position together is by pulling the arms up as far as they go. And then you've got to sit 4 feet in the air, and the floor tom only adjusts to knee level.
Thus why I nigger rig mine.

not fishbulb 04-30-2006 01:03 PM

Heh, ****** rig.

SkaRabbit 04-30-2006 01:21 PM

Its in the lil seaside town of saltburn on wednesday :p

Nova 5 04-30-2006 01:40 PM

Could someone explain what I'd need to mount a 14x12 TAR as a floor tom like this?

Berk 04-30-2006 01:45 PM

Tar?

trysthedrummer 04-30-2006 01:45 PM
Its in the lil seaside town of saltburn on wednesday :p
O aye. You should get British Boy on here to go, he's even closer, lives in Darlington which is probs about a few minutes away! :)

Nova 5 04-30-2006 01:47 PM

I know. He seems pretty busy lately.

Nova 5 04-30-2006 01:50 PM

So that'd be better than a stand for mounting it (just that) or one of those cymbal + tom stands?

Drum Phil 04-30-2006 01:52 PM

6 and 2 3's mate. I mount my tom off a cymbal stand cause i only need to buy a clamp. Cheap and effective

Nova 5 04-30-2006 01:55 PM

Alright thanks. And that's a 400 series single tom arm, right?

/clueless

Drum Phil 04-30-2006 01:55 PM

Probably. I dont think it makes much difference. You just need a sonor tom arm and any clamp

Nova 5 04-30-2006 01:56 PM

Cheers.

Carn 04-30-2006 01:57 PM

yup, clamp + 400 series arm works like a charm!

I can't find the drum kit thread so I'll post here. What do you think of this deal?

It comes with extra stuff which would add a lot of value and is a bidding auction. The seller has used it for 2 months and it seems like a great deal. What do you guys think? Im thinking of getting a Peace DNA but I wouldn;t want to spend much more than £450 on this used one.

Drum Phil 04-30-2006 02:48 PM

Not bad like. Shame he put pins on.

Pleaseme 04-30-2006 02:52 PM

Ahh just had the best roast beef dinner. Fecking hot horseradish too. Dayum. I can't get enough of pork and beef, cooked animal totally rules.

SkaRabbit 04-30-2006 02:57 PM

I hate roast now.

Drum Phil 04-30-2006 03:04 PM

I rarely eat red meat. Only one i really eat is beef and only then when its in burgers. Sometimes pork sausages. Im more of a white meat person.

Pleaseme 04-30-2006 03:10 PM

But burgers aren't exactly beef now anyway..not the BK ones at any rate.
Bacon's where it's at for me.

Drum Phil 04-30-2006 03:13 PM

Thats my point. It barely counts as beef anyway.
