I had an avatar of a smilie killing one smilie, then himself for a long time. I started changing it often after that.

My first one was some gay kirk hammett avatar I think. Not Van Halen, suprisingly.
I remember the days when all of the high post-count R&M regulars were n00bs. Jom especially.
I remember your first few days on MX, and you don't see me getting all nostalgic over it >: [

Haha :p

Oh, sure, by this account's standards :)

Shadows 10-15-2005 10:46 AM

My very first avatar was some kind of Shadows Fall logo.

I've been a fanboy since the very beginning.

Hey, I've been here longer than you have! You can't possibly know my first days! :p
I think I remember when 'tender had a different avatar. :) Not sure though, it was something flamey.
I can't remember what avatar I had at first, and then for a long time I didn't have an avatar at all, because no one did (anyone remember that?).

Then I had a little green-backgrounded Wildhearts smileybones (smileybones being variations on the guy on this album cover) for a few months, and then a smileybones picked out in flame, like the burning crow in The Crow, for all of a few hours, before I adopted the Horde colours. That was sometime in 2003, I think, and since then I've only changed avatar once (to the kittyloaf), for a couple of days. Not even for Halloween. Never taken part in the Halloween thing, actually.

superpeer 10-15-2005 10:51 AM

Hmm, maybe I made it up, or maybe I did see it, who knows. I had the kittyloaf for a while too. I don't think I was around for the avatarless times.

Stoic 10-15-2005 11:00 AM

First I had nothing because I didnt know how to get one, then Atheist's Unquestionable presence and then this one. I'm a bit reluctant to change it because it takes a while to get used to it. If I ever change it I will consider getting the Baphomet avatar although it's out of fashion :p

Here's the two other avatars I was talking about;

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v616/mxbartender/smileybones.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v616/mxbartender/flamingsmileybones.jpg

Was it either of those?

And yeah, more or less everyone had the kittyloaf at one point. I don't think you were around for the avatarless times either.

Wooh, my bands in the Loughborough Echo paper again because we're headlining a Cancer Research fundraiser gig at this pub on the 29th October.

I'm so cool.

My first avatar had something to do with The Filaments.

Neurotoxin 10-15-2005 11:15 AM

For about 2 years I had no avatar. This is my first avatar.

Now playing: Bach - Cantata BWV 208. Sheep May Safely Graze

the2stranger 10-15-2005 11:17 AM

our band practice was videotaped yesterday, and we will be on tv in two weeks

This makes me want to be in a band, and I'm not talking about the cancer.

Arucard 10-15-2005 11:21 AM

Nice stranger. What kind of music do you play?

Shadows : We're so scene now, we've added Avenged Sevenfold : Unholy Confessions to our set. I can't wait to bust that out live.

Well, I do recognise them, but you've probably showed them before, so I can't be sure. :) Either way I was a newbie back then.

superpeer 10-15-2005 11:38 AM
Was the "Jesus is coming. Look busy" avatar before or after the spelling one? And in terms of long-time avatars, I so have this competition won.
I think that was a usertitle, I did have a buddy christ avatar as my first avatar though. But then everyone went like "OH MY GODZ THE TROOPER IS BACK... oh wait, some nub"

:upset:

 YOU > teh Synyster Gates!!!!

With all the talk about A7X, I'm starting to wish I was a little more familiar with them.

superpeer 10-15-2005 11:55 AM

I remember when you liked Britney Spears, lol. Good times.

Lord Abortion 10-15-2005 11:55 AM

I went into my local branch of Woolworth's to buy a new pair of headphones.

I was served by the most breathtaking girl I have ever met.
fucking gorgeous.

I asked my friend who works there, she just grinned and said "That's Danielle, she's really nice, and single, eats like a pig though."

I am going back to buy more electrical items on the way to work tomorrow.

Shadows 10-15-2005 11:58 AM

You musn't let her slip by you! Live each day as though it were your last! Persue that which could alter your destiny! Just go after her.
There are so many Girls I'm interested in I'm getting confused
Go after all of them, and then stick with whichever one seems the most interested in you.

Just be glad you have girls to go after. I hate most of the girls around me.

Lord Abortion 10-15-2005 12:14 PM

I wish the pit wasn't so bollocks today. It was reasonably good last week.

Arrakakaka 10-15-2005 12:19 PM

Why do people have to allways neg sting-ray on his reviews?

RiceMonster 10-15-2005 12:20 PM

The pit doesn't interest me very oftem anyway. Jusr R&M is good enough for me. :)

Lord Abortion 10-15-2005 12:21 PM
Why do people have to allways neg sting-ray on his reviews?
I dunno, people I speak to don't seem to like him, he seems alright in the Football thread to me.

Shadows 10-15-2005 12:22 PM

Sting-ray isn't a very good reviewer from what I've seen.

Another Trivium thread? What the hell is going on here?

Lord Abortion 10-15-2005 12:33 PM

So, my CD purchases are so far:
Anaal nathrakh- domine non es dignus
Iron maiden-death on the road
Gorerotted- only tools and corpses
Cannibal corpse-the wretched spawn
Dungeon- a rise to power
Dungeon- one step beyond
Blind guardian- battallions of fear

I'm thinking another one
Another Trivium thread? What the hell is going on here?
And ICB's hit list grows...

Welllll....band just got done recording a song last night, I'd upload the rough cut for y'all but I need to figure out how to convert it into an MP3...Any help would be appreciated :)

RiceMonster 10-15-2005 12:53 PM
I haven't read any of sting-ray's reviews. Link?
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/profile.php?memberid=56411 You can see all his reviews from there.
