all this tattoo talk reminded me of charles mansons swastika on forehead tat
what a crazy crazy man |
For my friend who is turning 18 were going buy him a hooker to play video games with us. Were actually going to go to her and tell that were gonna play "video games with her" and make it seem like were joking, but then were gonna actually go home and play video games.
|
and then have hot bisexual orgy?
|
If a hot bisexual orgy means playing mario cart, then yes.
|
mario tennis actually

Speaking of tattoos, I just a stupid bulletin on Myspace. I know this girl named Kelly, and she's been friends with this kid named Gilford(I know, haha) for only a couple of months, but this kid goes and does this for her:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v518/paciFIRE/lisehui/gilfordstattoo.jpg Sucks for him. He's probably wanting some from her, but too bad that she's a lesbian. (btw, I hate this kid with an extreme passion) |
People who get their girlfriend or boyfriend's name tattooed on their body are stupid.
(Wooo 1,000 post. Took me long enough) |
Wow. That is quite possibly one of the stupidest things I have seen.
|
Pretty sure you have to be 18 in Texas.
yeah, the age is 18 but with parents consent ye can be 16 i think. |
D'amnit Conner, why would you wait that long to come?
There will be tons of shows for you to goto though. What are you coming down for?
spring break |
People who get their girlfriend or boyfriend's name tattooed on their body are stupid.
(Wooo 1,000 post. Took me long enough)
Yeah, that's stupid, but these kids are just friends. I mean, if it's a girlfriend I can at least see the point of it(even though it's still stupid). But I would NEVER do that for a friend, unless they were really close and died or something. That would be understandable. So of course this kid is going to be showing off his tat at the next show, and I'm going to tell him he's a fucking moron, then that girl Kelli will be all pissed at me. It's all good though. /half asleep |
It's kind of funny that a subforum as big as R&M has less designated mods than our little community here does.

Well then I guess Laredo is just a bit more ghetto than I previously had thought. haha, but most of the tattoo artists here are part of the scene whether it be hc or metal, so they do tats outside of the shops for kids at times. |
Days Spent

Haha is a Sinking Ships 7" out of 30 worth $34?
|
I just bought The Beat Goes On. It's good but not as great as We're Unstopabble.
Explain...
If you look at R&M, they have only two actual mods. Hardcore/Emo has four, except Jeremy doesn't really count, I guess. I want half asleep and ranting, just ignore it. :p BuddyBigsby: How would I go about starting to organize shows? I have a friend who has been wanting to do so for awhile, but we aren't sure how to do it. The main guy that books shows aorund here has gone Nazi regarding what bands he books. Lately he's only been booking christian bands, and it's really starting to piss some of us off because other bands aren't getting a fair chance. So we want to give these non-preaching bands more chance. |
Where at? :D (i live in teh I.E.)
Chino. I don't have the exact address yet, but I should have the flier with all the info done soon. Send me an email at xdoomsayer@aol.com and I'll be sure to send you one. |

So we want to give these non-preaching bands more chance.
This is the first big show I've put together, so I'm no expert, but this hasn't been too hard. - Figure out a tentative date, get into contact with the venue about putting the show on - Talk to the bands about playing said show - Once you have the bands and the venue secure, you need to figure out the price of admission. I'm doing this through a pretty DIY venue, I don't know how it works with big places. But for me, I only really have to worry about bringing enough in to give the touring bands gas money. If its a local show you don't really have to worry about that and you can keep it pretty cheap. - Once everything is booked: promote, promote, promote. |
Sounds much easier than I though it would be. The venues around here are all cheap and crappy, and they don't really care what you do. most shows around here are $5-8 a head, which shouldn't be a problem.
Getting ahold of enough bands will be the main problem though. Thanks for the info. :-) |
getting ahold of bands is the easy part
the date planning part is always hardest for me |
Getting ahold of local band iwll be simple, but there aren't very many to fill a show with, especially ince our main band(Leave It At The Door) is MIA right now due to them missing a vocalist.
I don't know how to get bands that aren't from around here to stop by. |
just email bands, it's a lot easier than it seems
|

If they have a spot that says like "Anywhere in KY - HELP!" or "TBA" that means they're looking for a show. Get into contact with them at that point. If there's a message board for your "scene" (I doubt there's much one in Kentucky...) that helps a LOT too. |
