Sweet. My bassist has a behringer 450 watt 2x10 amp. And he can add two cabinets beneath it.

He has great limb independance for a metal drummer.

Berk 04-30-2006 10:32 AM

Indeed.
Like when I posted that video of him and he did that blast beat with "AC/DC" beat he said.

Very nice.

I dont bother with huge amps cause im not usually a bassist so much. I have a 75 watt Peavey Basic 112 and thats more than enough for me.

That isn't really independance...

Berk 04-30-2006 10:42 AM

.....Shhhh.....The more you know.

Janeway 04-30-2006 10:50 AM

Yeah. I thought that one was kind of neat.

I'm conflicted.
If I ever should happen to play in a band, it's going to be acoustic.
Because of my teacher has exposed me to, the players and songs, it's the music that I'm best at and most comfortable with. I enjoy playing it. Up here theres a huge well of acoustic roots-y music. There's a lot of opportunity for it.
Trouble is, the drums are usually limited.
There are a lot of opportunities for some wicked funky hand drum stuff, a la Duhks. But I'm not a hand drummer. I've only got a djembe, and I'm not going to be able to afford a wealth of other instruments now that I'm paying for college. My teacher is gone now, and it's time to go find a new one.
I think that at this point in my playing, I'm able to handle the stuff that acoustic bands throw at me(That was a very narrow statement. Wowee.). I'm retarded at guitar, though.
I want to take both, but I can only choose one.
God.

Undisco Kidd 04-30-2006 10:56 AM

Join a band and make due with what you have?

TTTSNB 04-30-2006 10:57 AM
That isn't really independance...
Yeah....but fucking hard to do anyway.

Janeway 04-30-2006 10:58 AM

Well, yeah.
But I don't know if I should take guitar or drum lessons.
That was actually the whole point of that. I should be more critical with my posts...

Drum.

Ooh, you could play xylophone in a bluegrass band. That would be hardcore.

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-30-2006 11:01 AM

Guitar coz if you can already play drums, may as well learn a new instrument

Janeway 04-30-2006 11:04 AM

That would be awfully hard to keep up with bluegrass players on a xylophone.

Undisco Kidd 04-30-2006 11:07 AM

Marimba then.

And I will play the washtub bass.
