I looked in my local TV listings thing that comes with the newspaper, and the abbreviation for the channel was PLEX. I'm not entirely sure what channel that is, but I know I don't get it.

Oh okay... weird that you get into them through a relatively unknown song. I'd recommend the [I]10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1[/I] album, or downloading any songs off it, particularly "Read About It" and "Only The Strong". Also anything they do live is awesome.

Atom Heart Mother is one of the most hauntingly beautiful thinks I have heard for a really long time

It's just amazing, too bad I only really like AHM, Summer '68 and Fat Old Sun., maybe the others will grow on me

I really like If as well. That song grew on me a lot. Never been a fan of Alan's Psychadelic Breakfast though. Not a bad song, but a little wierd for me.

Man I've been gone awhile, I just bought "The Movies" computer game on Friday and I"ve been hooked ever since.

Well I just gave my mom my b-day list (the 26th) so hopefully I get a couple of CDs...TOmmy and Quadrophenia are at the top.

I just picked up my...PAUL McCARTNEY tickets!! :D

My dad's been trying to take them away since summer and this this Friday I got suspended for 2 days and I was extremly close to not going but apparently I'm going now. I just hope I don't **** up in the next 4 days. :-/

I just met a keyboardist/vocalist who was so thrilled with my musical taste he said I can come over and record in his personal recording studio anytime. I just mentioned how Jeff Beck was my favorite guitarist and he gave me a half hour rant about how Jeff Beck's old keyboardist is the greatest keyboardest to walk the earth. Kinda cool....

Atom Heart Mother is alright, it drags in some places though, very inconsistent I think. The first song is great, however.

I like AHM (the song) for a few reasons. It's got a cool bassline for like the first 8 minutes, and Gilmour has a really cool solo in the middle. Rick also does some good keyboard work. What I don't really like about it is the orchestra and the chanting parts. It all seems too over the top for a Floyd song. "If" is an alright song, nothing really special. "Fat Old Sun" is pretty cool. I don't really know the other two songs very well.

Yeah, AHM is pretty awesome. I wouldn't put it on par with their later epics or even some of Syd's songs, but its still excellent. Gilmour's solo in it is one of my favorites. Summer '68 has some very nice keyboard work, too. Wright doesn't ever get much attention, but I think he's well liked in here.

I voted Daltrey in the poll, although Dickinson was a really close contender.

i would think that he's probably talking about jan hammer though. he was also the keyboardist for the first incarnation of the mahavishnu orchestra.

I took some more of my dad's records today, 2 Stephen Stills, Blow by Blow, Songs in the Key of Life, 3 Al Di Meola albums including the one with McClaughlin and Paco De Lucia, and there might have been some others, but I can't remember.
