Nice Stew.

And I just cleaned up my HD and went from 21 GB of free space to 70 GB. Go me.

Night fred.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 02:07 AM

I need to do that as well. Im running out of room :(

Permanent Solution 10-30-2006 02:10 AM

I still have like 100 GB of space on my various drives hehe.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 02:23 AM

Naw man.
What mp3 player should I get? I need to pay a trip to the media forum..

Permanent Solution 10-30-2006 02:30 AM

Well...you don't have Best Buys in Ausland, right? So then don't get an ipod. My ipod is only sweet because it always breaks and Best Buy replaces it under warranty, which then gets renewed hehe :D

Cowon iaudios are supposed to be good. irivers too.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 02:41 AM

Ill look them up.
A friend of mine has a Sony one that I cant remember the model, and apparantly it holds like 20,000-30,000 tunes. But I dont know, they say SonicStage is an arse to work with.

Excursions 10-30-2006 02:45 AM

Someone I know has had a grand total of 7 ipods, which needed to be replaced because they broke.

Good quality electronic stuffs they make dese days and all.

The highest capacity Sony mp3 player I could find was only 40 GB.

Either way, it's nonsense...the highest capacity players on the market currently are 100GB (25000 songs) and they run insane amounts of money.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 02:55 AM

Probably true that. I do beleive he was estimating the amount it held though, so yeah. Anyway, have you had any experience with SonicStage?

Permanent Solution 10-30-2006 03:14 AM

I have not, I do know most interfaces are a pain in the *** though, regardless.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 03:19 AM

Bar itunes. Itunes is mad easy to use.

Untitled 10-30-2006 04:38 AM

My sony walkman disk to phone thing to get my music onto my MP3 is so easy.

How do i convert Itunes format into MP3?

25,000 songs is rediculous. I have like 700 songs and it would take me a year to listen to every song once.

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 05:56 AM

They must be pretty long songs...I've got 3753 and that's only 10.2 days worth of music.

Surtr 10-30-2006 06:30 AM

Yeah I've got about the same as Mitch.

Not to mention they're probably all Pop-Punk songs, so they're about a minute long. Where as I've got metal and stuff on here that's 8-10+ minutes each.

Dinosawesome 10-30-2006 09:21 AM

Okay, so I'm thinking I might try do this http://www.nanowrimo.org/ thing that Tojes posted, here's my idea for my novel:

Bill has a problem- his life sucks. He always has good advice for others but his life sucks. One day, Bill finds an internet forum and posts his problems. It is there that Bill meets Phil. Phil seems to have the best advice in the world, it's almost like they are long lost brothers. For every problem Bill posts Phil has an answer. One day, Bill decides he should meet Phil in person. They organise a time and place and that is that. However, when Bill arrives, Phil isn't there. He waits all night and Phil never arrives. Later, Bill posts his disappointment on the forum and Phil answers "I was there, I waited for you all night". It is here at the novels conclusion we discover Bill has Alzhiemers and is constantly forgetting what he posted. Therefore, he answers his own problems under the username Phil and therefore, he is his own best e-friend. The moral of the story? Fix your own problems.

so, thoughts?

Sounds pretty funny, although I'm not sure you could write 50,000 words around it. I'd read it though.

Eh, it's OK but it's too predictable. Bill and Phil? Come on. Secondly, why would he forget his name? He'd need to have more than just Alzheimer's for that stuff to happen that soon but still allow him to function in society.

If you touch it up, it wouldn't be that bad, though.

Sorry. I call 'em like I see 'em. :(

really

2506 would take 7 days

which reminds me that i need to upload all of my cds onto my computer
i'm too lazy to put them in my computerspanishword every time

Kif 10-30-2006 06:32 PM

I used to have a lot more songs, but limited space on laptop harddrive means I delete what I don't listen to. A lot of it is on an external, and most of them are complete discographies for bands.

Surtr 10-30-2006 08:44 PM

Myspace is pretty boring...
Hi Greg. Do you remember me?

Ross 10-31-2006 05:41 PM

G'day thread.

How's life?

I just had an awesome day, (+44) made it great but finally getting my hands on The Distillers - Sing Sing Death House really made it even better.

Untitled 10-31-2006 05:44 PM

Today i planed on tidying my bedroom, which is half done, and doing my project, which i didnt do.

so yeah, today ive done not very much, except sleep.

Ross 10-31-2006 05:50 PM

Haha, fair play. I'm such a bum at the moment too, the most interesting thing I do aside from work at the moment is cook fried rice, or have a fry-up. My cholesterol must be through the roof :p

Although today I did go for an interview for volunteering at the Citizen's Advice Bureau. They want me to work on reception which is a bit gay, and they won't even let me wear a sexy skirt. Damn.

Untitled 10-31-2006 05:53 PM

Sounds good.

I couldnt do volunteer work, no pay and the such....

Tomorrow my plan.

Cycle down to the cash machine - The uber long root, i realy need to loose weight.
Driving Lesson.
Finish tidying room.
Project
Work.
Bed.

no i dont.

Ross 10-31-2006 06:03 PM

Hell, it's good to have a plan. My day tomorrow...

-Pack for trip to Barcelona.
-Get bored of packing, distracted by phunky bass probably.
-Fry-up.
-More bass.
-Work.
-Panic cuz it's 10pm and I still haven't packed, the flight is in 10 hours.
-Wake up. I'm hungover cuz I started drinking when packing to calm the stress and forgot to stop drinking.
-Realise it's 5am and the plane takes off in 3 hours. If I set off now I can make it but...
-I still need to pack. Ohshi...

So yeah, I'm off to Barcelona with some other gap-year people (read: bums) for 5 days. Should be wicked.

As for voluntary work... I need something to show for my gap year. Sadly being good at fried food doesn't count. Also I'm looking to do Law next year so the CAB will look pretty cool, and it's kinda first hand experience with the law, even if I am on reception.

Heh, I bet my day will turn out like yours.

Not cycle, get woke up at 10:15 by my driving instructor ringing me,
Take money from my mum because i havnt been to the bank to take money out.
Come home from lesson, go back to sleep.
Wake up, eat, go work.
Come home, sleep.

As for the CAB, thats cool :thumb:

I couldn't do a gap year, i just know i wouldn't go back to uni, so im not going to do one. I might take out a loan or something and do a gap year after i finish uni, so it wouldn't be a gap year, but w/e.

Barcelona is a cool city too.
