Illmatic 07-09-2005 12:01 AM

Didn't the RZA do Kill Bill Vol. 1's soundtrack?

Badmoon 07-09-2005 12:14 AM
Didn't the RZA do Kill Bill Vol. 1's soundtrack?
Most of it, I think.

Glitterati 07-09-2005 12:14 AM

Also, I forgot to mention I rented This Is Spinal Tap. Anyone seen it?

ATM 07-09-2005 12:16 AM

Everyone has seen it.

I went to get it last week and ended up getting The Return of Spinal Tap I was so lost...

Badmoon 07-09-2005 12:17 AM

Yea, I think it's a little overrated though.

I prefer A Mighty Wind now that I've grown so sick of Spinal Tap.

JonG 07-09-2005 12:20 AM

Airheads :naughty:

Funny movies.

NP : FZ - Willie the Pimp

ATM 07-09-2005 12:22 AM

I went to the Mighty Wind show. It was pretty cool.

Glitterati 07-09-2005 12:24 AM

Airheads is so bad it's good

np: Iggy Pop - Lust For Life.

I saw an ad for an Iggy Pop Greatest Hits CD today. It was called, A Million In Prizes: The Best Of Iggy Pop. Made me laugh, briefly.

JonG 07-09-2005 12:24 AM

I can't stand Iggy Pop for some reason :\

NP : I Am The Walrus

Leper 07-09-2005 12:24 AM
Everyone has seen it.
I haven't. :upset: On a happier note Robert Plant tickets go on sale tomorrow. I'm pretty sure i'll go, seeing as how it's the closest i'll ever get to seeing Zeppelin live.

Glitterati 07-09-2005 12:54 AM

I have decided that Quadrophenia fucking rules.

So did I, I'm still shocked at how good it is. I love how they incorporate a surfer rock sound with gothic-sounding riffs.

Me thinks their name derivation: Tell-a-vision (i heard it in one of their songs)

I saw that movie about 10 years ago, before I got all the rock references in it :o

Steve Buscemi's in it though, and he rocks

I love the track Marquee Moon, with that long solo.

Broken Arrow 07-09-2005 10:23 AM

I got the album a few months ago, I also love it.

Cain 07-09-2005 10:45 AM

Now that I think of it, did anybody here go to the "All for Paul Les Paul 90th Birthday Show" at Carnegie Hall three or four weeks ago?

What kind of music is it? It never seemed like something that would appeal to me.

Badmoon 07-09-2005 11:57 AM

I'd rather see the Who: I downloaded PF, but haven't seen The Who's preformance yet.

drugstore cowboy 07-09-2005 12:52 PM

Does anyone here like Rod Stewart? Maybe not his later albums, but you'd be suprised how much his early albums rock out. "The Rod Stewart Album" and "A Nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse" are his first and second, or something like that. He had an awesome band behind him, and it all sounds very raw and gritty (at least it does on vinyl), which is something you don't hear on on his latter albums.

lunch998 07-09-2005 12:59 PM
Jethro Tull are playing a show near me! Lunch, we should go man!
Where is it?

By the way, I've been in Frederick the past few days, it's an annoying drive from Annapolis.

Jacaranda: No problem at all, glad you enjoy them.

V_R_C_H_P 07-09-2005 01:03 PM

i like a bit of rod stewart but i also hate many songs by him, free are the greatest band ever in my opinion n i'm 16 i like more older bands like led zep the who king crimson and obvisouly compared to this crappy genre stuff i hate most metal stuff, anyone got a favourite classic rock guitarist, mine is paul kossoff
