I wish Vince was here to help with my physics. Or even Lee.

Instead I'm stuck with ****ing Steve.

Angmar 10-13-2008 07:10 PM

No you aren't, I never offered you help! >:[

Deth 10-13-2008 07:12 PM

Yeah I guess.

Also midterm on Thursday ugh. Week is lame.

negrodamus 10-13-2008 07:14 PM

Steve is incapable of doing simple math, surely he doesn't understand physics!

I need to find the tangential velocity for a proton at a given radius in a cyclotron but idk what the hell I'm supposed to do.

masscows 10-13-2008 07:15 PM

I'm pretty bogged down with homework :[

tomorrow i need to finish a midterm paper, read a bunch of **** for composition, write a stupid paper about character identification in movies, and do some crap for chem

****ing zog i swear
I need to find the tangential velocity for a proton at a given radius in a cyclotron but idk what the hell I'm supposed to do.
tangential velocity=derivative of centripetal force assuming constant speed.

masscows 10-13-2008 07:19 PM

and that's why i'm never taking physics

Deth 10-13-2008 07:19 PM

It's not constant speed though because it's a cyclotron it's constantly accelerating. Basically all I've got is the frequency around the circumference and the magnetic field.

The problem in question.

Permanent Solution 10-13-2008 07:23 PM
It's not constant speed though because it's a cyclotron it's constantly accelerating. Basically all I've got is the frequency around the circumference and the magnetic field.
but if there's a frequency the speed would have to be constant, unless it's an initial frequency?

which direction does the field point? i'm unfamiliar with cyclotrons

cyclotron reminds me too much of psychotronn :(

If only :(

If you don't know cyclotrons, I don't think you can help me too much. Thanks anyway.

So I have to write a Junior research paper, and I'm trying to come up with a good topic.

Does "The Physical and Psychological Effects of Cancer on Children" sound like a decent one?

hismajestythepope 10-13-2008 07:28 PM

i know you guys are talking about math

but im playing keytar for regret from ruin on thursday :D

elmntrs 10-13-2008 07:28 PM

the physical and psychological effects of eliminator on children

Permanent Solution 10-13-2008 07:29 PM

use the equation v=r*q*B/m see if that's the right answer

could work

negrodamus 10-13-2008 07:29 PM
the physical and psychological effects of eliminator on children
but it has to be somewhere between 6-8 pages not like somewhere between 50-eliminator pages. /:

Yeah, that's right, Eliminator is a number. It's somewhere between infinity and pi.

RouteOne 10-13-2008 07:30 PM

I need to finish 3 annotated bibliographies this week. :(

momma eliminator touched me

bad touch

but so good
use the equation v=r*q*B/m see if that's the right answer
lol yeah it worked

it's weird because I had an answer that was like 4.36E6 m/s but that equation gave me 4.31E6, so I guess I plugged something in wrong.

Thanks.

np.

idk if you guys use the halliday resnick book but if so section 29-5 is like the solution to all of that problem.

just have 8 pages filled with ELIMINATOR in SIZE 72 font directly in the middle of each page with nothing else
