Don't you have another?
|
Don't sass Bartender, you dang middle schooler.
|
Nope. I use a fountain pen, because my writing with a ballpoint or biro is even worse than my writing otherwise.
|
My handwriting is poor no matter what I use.
|
Mine too, but it's practically illegible with a ballpoint, which is what I'm now having to use (borrowed one from a friend).
|
My handwriting is poor no matter what I use.
Same here. :upset: I can't read my handwriting sometimes. |
It's okay. All creative geniuses have messy handwriting.
|
Sup fellas
|
This is funny, since the stronghold was deleted, my postcount has become insignificant.
|
Old, but you can get a new one here.
Sup fellas
Hey Rob, how's it going? Hello to everyone again as well. |
What was it before?
Not high, Just not this pathetic. I had 990 or so when the stronghold was deleted. Now I ended up with something like 5.5x more rep than posts. |
Hey Rob, how's it going?
Hello to everyone again as well.
I'm doing alright, in a bit of pain/soreness though. Track/sledding will do that I guess. Yourself? |
Just a question, does my answer here (it's just my notes, in preparation for tutorial) make any sense to you;
Q. Imagine the perfect physiologist (an alien, if you like), who knew everything there was to know about brains and how they work. With her (alien) technologies, imagine she had a perfect knowledge of your brain and all it's workings. Would she therefore know what it's like to be you? Me: I don't know. I don't think so. Even if she has this perfect knowledge of what it is like to be me, she still doesn't know of one aspect; what it's like to actually be me, just being me from day to day. She just has the knowledge of what it is like to be her with this perfect physiological knowledge of what it's like to be me. |
That's a good question.
Well, the alien would know your behavior [if you're a violent person, an alcoholic, a pacifist], but the alien wouldn't know your everyday habits. imo |

Yourself?
Could be worse, thanks. Sledding is good times. Bartender, your answer makes sense. Just because she knows how your brain functions would not mean that she would have the experiences to go with it. She would know how you'd react to a given stimulus, perhaps, but I don't think she would have access to your experiences, since you and only you felt them, not some assumed alien physiologist. |

Well they're just preparatory notes, so they don't have to be too in-depth, and there aren't any really right or wrong answers either. In fact there's lots of theory that would say yes, she certainly would know what it's like to be me.
I really need to make it to this tutorial tomorrow morning though, so I'm off to bed. So hi Humor, and I'll see you all later. |
*plops into easy chair*
Hello thread. Labs are an awful thing. Bye Bart. |
Much love, Bartender.
|
I think so, but only if she could get into what your thought and feelings were, and into your subconcious(sp?)
|
Hey, this is kickass, someone powertabbed TBDM - Contagion and it sounds mostly right... I've been looking for it for a while.
