Okay, so I'm good at guessing pronunciations, but I definitely had no clue who your userpicture was. Thanks to all who take the time to contribute to the YSI theme, it means a lot. I'm going to start studying for my last final, considering I haven't done any studying for it as of yet :-\ Plus, it's halftime, so now I have as good of an excuse as any right now. I'll talk to you all in a few. /sorry for the adios post |
I got a cover of Purple Haze Ill upload soon...Its really good, probably better then the original IMO, but i have no idea who does it. Ill get it up soon.
Very cool, i want to hear. NP: Bohemian Rhapsody |

NP: Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is such a brilliant song, plus it's utterly ridiculous, that's what is so great about queen... they have so much talent, and they make beautiful, brilliant songs, yet they stay respectably ridiculous. |

Well stated! Except I really hate a lot of their stuff. I just bought "Classic Queen" and that's the only song I know on the cd (stupid buy) but some of the others I really like and some are awful. Yes, they're like Tenacious D except more talented and more popular. The lyrics and stuff is funny and ridiculous but great |

They're still an enjoyable listen IMO... but if you're a diehard fan and can't see that they are very over the top.... wow.... same goes with ACDC |

Hmm. Second page.
To [try to] spark some discussion, what does everyone plan to do with their lives after uni/high school/whatever? Do you plan to move somewhere, and what do you want to have as a job? Do you want to get married and have kids or stay single? |
sup last post of the day for me.
Assuming I stay in uni long enough to graduate, I will hopefully become a sound engineer. If I don't that's still what I hope to do though the lack of a degree limits my progression. I have plans to stay single (predictable) but I'm well aware I might change my mind. I might move to England or Canada. Yep...night. |
I want to be an artist/musician and live in the city.
|
I was thinking of becoming a sound engineer also, but I need to read up on it more.
|
I did really bad in chemistry :upset:
But seriously folks, goodnight  |
I hate chemistry.
I hate all math and science, to be honest. |
Hmm. Second page.

Do you want to get married and have kids or stay single?
High school = over  Uni = far, far from over :( I've always wanted to move to Seattle, to leave behind all that has happened here. I just love the city. What would be ideal for me is to live on Bainbridge Island (madey/Jake might know where that is, hopefully). I mean, I love my permanent residence's city... it's not overly big, but it's not too small... it's a bit of a corporate whore (we have something like 11 7-11s in our 36-square mile city), but so what, I can live with that. It's a really good city to work, raise a family, etc. It's just that I'm disgusted with a lot of people here, and I'm disgusted with a lot of the memories that I have here. There are far too many negative memories than there are positive memories, and it really seeps into my posting from time-to-time. I don't mean for that to be. I would think that going across the state for uni would change, but oh no, things are like I am still back home. It's pathetic. I need to move across the nation in order for me to feel at peace with everything. But then I realized that I don't want to go out there, find a house, move all my shit out there, and be at the total opposite end of the nation from my parents (who want to retire to Florida). So, yeah, I don't know what I'm going to do about that. I don't even want to face anyone at high school reunions because of how bitter I am about it all. After I get this [supposedly] fresh start somewhere, I am going to teach. It depends on what they are hiring for, since I'll be certified to teach six courses in high school. I also want to coach, preferably baseball. I also do not plan on getting married, although maybe that will change if I move. If I don't move, then forget it. I would rather have a dog for companionship (STFU with the dog jokes, I'm serious) instead of living alone, but I do not think that any one woman would be able to love me and put up with all my shit. No one deserves that. I also hate little kids. Can't stand them. I have no patience. I also don't want to adopt or host foreign exchange students or anything. I'm going to be busy with my job, my commitments, and then [likely] working a second job, since I will only be making something in the lines of $28,000/year. Having said that, that's pretty much what I'm shooting for. /long answer :-\ EDIT: Oh what the hell, I didn't know that halfassing answers was the right way of answering those questions :( |
Oh, Seattle rules.
I'd live there, definitely. I love the atmosphere of the city, the people are nice, and it has weather that I really like. Some of the best summer weather is up there. |
The last time I was at Bainbridge Island/Seattle, they were in the middle of a "drought," where it didn't rain for something like nineteen straight days. It was very mild, something like 65-75 everyday. I could see Mt. St. Helens in the horizon everyday. The temperate forests were extremely cool (temperature-wise), it dropped about 12 degrees Fahrenheit when you went inside... it was just nice.
But again, I really don't want to have to fly across the nation, try to find a house/job/etc., come back, and then haul all my crap back. It'd be too much on an airplane, and there's no way in Hell I'd want to drive all the way there. |
I plan on moving to the East coast after I'm done with uni [a while from now :-\], to either New York or Boston. Most likely New York though, because I'm most familiar with it, and I've been there somewhere around nine times, so I have a good feeling on how the people are and what the town is all about. It's like a second home.
The only real problem is that I've been spoiled with great summer and winters here, and that really wouldn't be the case over there. I hear you get used to it though. I don't have the smallest clue on what I'm going to do as a profession. |
Seattle: Never been
I'm a sentimental kind of guy, so I can see myself moving back to Chicago after graduating from college. This has little to do with the fact that Chicago is probably the best city in America, however. God I love that place. But I would not be adverse to moving to the West Coast. Sacramento, Oakland, San Fran, or San Jose most likely. I don't know what I'm going to do with a job...I'd love to do something involved with sports (sportswriter? scout? general manager?) and I would like to be in politics eventually. I'm adament about being a father and a husband someday. If I have kids, I'm going to end up coaching high school sports (most likely basketball, I'd imagine). |
That's cool. A sound engineer? So will you work in concerts hall and stuff? :)
I'm actually hoping to do studio work because it's more fun and you get to work with the artists more. Either would make me happy though. /I lied about that last post :upset: |
Ah. Recording studio? My friend's dad has one of those. Those are freaking choice as hell.
Yah, you have to be at the top of the game, but if I do what I plan to in uni without dying or dropping out I should be at the top by a large margin. |
I want to be a chemist.
I'm glad you explained what you want to do later on. I'm so sick of people asking me what I want to be, and after I tell them "A chemist of some sort", they respond "like, in a pharmacy?". "Uh.no, that's a PHARMACIST". What branch of chemistry? I've been doing Envioronmental, Molecular and Biological Chemistry right now. |
I would love visiting Boston or New York. I love big cities.
Hah. Here I am, fleeing the East Coast while I can, and you and Efil can't wait to go there! It's madness! |

It's a balls out East coast or West coast thing for me. Sportswriter would be stressful as hell; you have a deadline for the end of the day, everyday. |
Irony, amirite?
Yeah. It'd be nice to be somewhere different though. I've lived on the east coast my whole life.. even when I lived in Hawaii. Yeah. I've never been past Idaho, haha. So I'd love to see a different state (no pun intended) of culture eventually.
West coast, you mean? Or is it getting late for me again? :( EDIT much much later: Good night, all. Last final in T-minus 7.5 hours :-\ |

And an ESPN Page 2 columnist doesn't have quite as much pressure on them...I could do something like that. GM would be ideal. I would love to be a GM or even a scout. |

Feedback anyone? I guess the term is "found poetry?" Anyways it was sorta fun and you guys can enjoy figuring out where it's all from. |
If you all want to come out to the east coast, come stay with me in Maryland
|
Hey Chris, have you heard the new PT album Deadwing yet? If not you can get it from me. I reckon they'll be playing a quite a few tunes off it being that it's their new one so you may want to familiarize yourself with it. Aside from that, what's new?
|
I've heard Deadwing, it's pretty good.
Not much new, just trying to finish this semester alive so I can start doing art. Anything new with you? |
Not really. I was in the shower tonight and had insperation for a song/riff. So after I got out I recorded the riff so I wouldn't forget it. When I get off work I'll be going into song making mode. Other than that not much. My mom is coming down here to a timeshare with one of her work pals this weekend, so I'll be visiting with her all weekend. And work is teh sux.
/Time for smoke break. |

In Silver Spring, where does he go to school? |
Just got an email from the secretary for the school of philosophy (who goes by the name of Kitty, though I'm not sure she meant to tell us that), telling me that my Elementary Logic class at 2pm (my only class for today) has been cancelled. And so I rejoice :)
Got to find something to do to fill the time, though. Suggestions, anyone? If there's even anyone online, that is :( |
You could always go CD shopping.
|
I wouldn't have any suggestions, because I still have to go to school today :upset:
In fact, I'd better start getting ready. |
I wouldn't have any suggestions, because I still have to go to school today :upset:

Climb a tree. :)
I have to go school in a hour and haven't any sleep. :( |
Got to find something to do to fill the time, though. Suggestions, anyone?(
Write a two chord song. Find a rhyme for orange. Engage in quiet reflection. Study. Get a game of pool and sink a few cold ones. I think the answer is logical, but as your course is cancelled............. |
You could always go CD shopping.
I could, yeah. I'd kinda like to as well, but I don't have that much money. Well actually, that's a total lie. I've got almost £300 spare at the moment (my grandma gave me £200 for no real reason a few days ago), but I need to save some at the moment, for the summer. |
logic eh?
beer replaces logic spaghetti and custard at 1am when drunk anyone? Ali knows who I reference here... |
