I was listening to We Live and it zoned me out so bad when I was driving home from work the other day.

I'm listening to Kylesa. So good.

Some good ol' Mar De Grises for me.
Excellent doom/death from Peru.
Very powerfull, They should release a new album. :mad:

Does anyone here like Electric Wizard's self titled debut? It's quite different to the following albums but I like it just as much.

No I don't, is it any good?

And it's such ashame that the vocalist/keyboardist left.
I think that's why they're takig such a long time for the new album, or I don't even know if they started writing actually. :-\

So what are everyone's thoughts on the new Reverend Bizarre?

Isn't it supposed to be their final release? Shame that, I always thought they were one of, if not the best of the newer Trad Doom bands.

It's really good, but it's just too ****ing long overall. 3 half-hour tracks, 3 15 minute tracks, and a couple short ones.

I mean, it's good, but like the first track, which is 30 minutes, has at least 20 of the same riff being played over and over, without vocals.

Yeah, that's what dragged it down for me. Too freaking long. And it's not put together well enough...songs have parts that go on for MUCH too long.

I'm making my way through it at the moment and I like it. I don't think it's as good as [I]In the Rectory[/I] though. I'm glad I managed to catch theit last ever UK show, they were superb.

I haven't heard it yet. I'll buy it when it's out though. While "In The Rectory" will always be their magnum opus, I think they've been consistently a great band for 10 years. They deserve all their sucess - they're good guys, bit strange maybe, but nice guys. I have good memories of the gigs I've done with them and the ones where I've just been drunk in the audience.

Best new doom band though? I don't think so. that would be Warning.

Warning are good, but I still prefer Reverend Bizarre. Also I really enjoy the stuff I've heard from the Lamp of Thoth, I'll have to buy their demo.

I have Grief's [I]Miserably Ever After[/I] and it's allright, nothing special.

What's Big Business like? I'm seeing them tomorrow with Tool.

Noisy, especially live. It's distorted bass and drums. Pretty amusing, but you'll probably either love it or hate it depending on what you can get into.

I'm pretty tolerant of a lot of stuff. I'm gonna download an album from them just so I have a preview before I go to the show.

I've heard of BB but never checked them out. They're a 2-piece, right?
