Haha, well I was lured into R&M when I saw an OFFICIAL TUFF thread. I was like "Who the hell is Tuff?" So I came in here, saw my good buddy Joe posted, and whadda ya know? He compared my 2 favorite bands. So I was tempted to say something.

And yes he does.
Good to know, Tiger Army seems to be an awesome band, I'm just getting into them.

Nice, it'll probably be somethin like:

This is a C major triad:
C - E - G :thumb:

On their first album, all of AFI does backup on a lot of their songs. They're really good live too. Going to see them for the third time next month.

Tiger Army - True Romance

I've been listening to it all week. The lyrics are disturbing too.
/cool song

I actually like Davey's vocals, and I also like old and new AFI as well.

I think I'll look into these guys more.

Arucard 03-02-2005 03:51 PM

I want too see em live, but i would like it alot if they did older stuff too. Basically if they did 'Of Greetings And Goodbyes' id be happy.

Or, this is how you hold the pick, blah blah blah. Then this is G chord progression:G, C, D
What are the rules for posting local bands in this thread by ways of YSI? Yay/Nay?

I know they belong in Audio Arena, and I'm not going to make a thread about it in here because I'm not a dumbass (I hope not, anyway)... but would local band mp3s be allowed?

I think it would give our YSI sessions a little kick... but I dunno. Your call(s).
Bobo gave his opinion, but I would like a more authoritative opinion from Superpeer/Bartender.

Not to say Bobo's opinion wasn't welcome, it's just that he can't ban me :p

I think how you hold the pick is completely up to you.

New album this year, so hopefully they're touring.

I heard they play their old stuff. At least one song from each of their albums, save their first one. They play mostly post-Shut Your Mouth.... from what I've heard.

And I've heard everyone say they're amazing live. My friend used to dislike them until he saw them live. Then he was converted.

Pretty much, my teacher showed me how to though. I didn't like the way he showed me, I still do it the same way I had been doing a year before hand guitar lessons.

Local Bands should be allowed in R&M, as long as it isnt a person trying to whore their own bands.

ATM 03-02-2005 04:02 PM

It should be good, I told them that I already know all of the basics.

It's at 7.

That's cool. I took guitar lessons to improve on my theory, and know how and where to apply it. He's also helping to improve on lead guitar.

There's a song I haven't heard in forever.

Sup lunch

Anyone else want to give an opinion regarding local band uploading? Yay or nay?

Notice that "I don't care," "meh," or "I'm an apathetic waffleman" are not options :)

Maybe it's all the hardcore punks who call them posers that influences me. :(
