well, todays the day i (probably) find out if i got the job at TESCO. oo, i cant wait. is £4.43 an hour alright for an under 18 working as someone who sells fags and lottery tickets in a supermarket? i really dont know my rates.

yep. its really small behind there aswell. after 6 months i get a rise, and then another rise after 1 year, then when im 18 more rises again. and apaarently then people that work at the kiosk are all due a rise anyway so it might go up more.

Tesco have a nice policy of paying everybody the same for doing the same job.

Some (only really one) of my tesco supervisors made me wish I'd never taken the job by

a. Talking down to me intellectually, when I was a lot smarter than her
b. Taking the whole "we are tesco team" thing SERIOUSLY
c. Being hopelessly unforgiving for things as small as "not having time to do overtime" when I was working 16 hours a week plus full time sixth form

Yeah, supermarkets have a horribly terrible way of making you feel like crap one minute, then surprising you by being nice the next...then being bastards again.

Oh I've been a busy bee this afternoon:

I compleatly gutted my room then dusted it and hoovered. And sorted out the washing/ironing!

Now I'm drawing out a pattern that I want to paint onto my wall :cool:

It's the customers that I wouldn't be able to handle. I remember I was at buyin' summat at ASDA where my mum works and this one guy shes serving started flipping out swearing at her. I had to keep restrain myslef frrom smacking him or else my mum would've probs lost her job :(
