I have been getting into Black Metal recently, Aeternus, Beherit, Burzum, Immortal, Windir, Immersed, Sacramentum, Taake.

I predominantly listen to Punk, but I'm eager to expand my Metal taste. Anyway, I'm perfectly capable of simply researching and finding more bands on my own, but I like to see what bands other people recommend.

Awesomeness, Luciation was the only band I didn't like very much. And I liked Black Murder the most. This Black Punk Metal, or whatever, is cool. Never heard of it before. Thanks guys, I'll keep my eyes on this thread for sure.

There's a pretty cool Canadian bm scene too if you're interested, but most people who are new to the genre care most about Akitsa (from Canada I mean).

Yeah my city has a good music scene, I will definitely have to check out some local Black Metal bands.

I listened to Black Murder's Feasts, I love it. I'm about to listen to Furdidurke's November Reh, and I've got Murmuure's s/t on the way <- a random band off a BM blog I've never heard before, wonder if it'll be good...

I still haven't gotten to all the recs but they're on my list for sure. Thanks so much guys.
