Let's Chop Cats! 04-10-2007 10:04 PM

Bob for the love of god learn drums. I'll play guitar, one of my friends has already tried starting a band with me so he'll be down for guitar, and chris can play bass.

McFlurry 04-10-2007 10:25 PM

i play the drums alittle bit

guitar/bass too

some keyboard, also

Lazybassplr56 04-10-2007 10:42 PM

Yo, I'll sing for your band but I only want to work one hour a day and I want 95% of the money the band makes. Cool?

santi3hg 04-10-2007 10:44 PM

I've been playing drums for 6 years, and got my own equipment and ****. All pro too.

Who can I move in with in philly?

RCVA 04-11-2007 03:46 AM

**** if only you lived in london. I need a drummer.

McFlurry 04-11-2007 04:55 AM

i play the drums

I hate to rag on your taste, but the influences you have for those bands are pretty much what every single band is doing right now. Way boring.

Right now I'm working on something (which means I'm sitting in my room jamming by myself and wishing I was in a band) influenced by: Sabbath, Burn, Van Halen, Down, recent Cave In, Quicksand, and Supertouch. I like diversity. I would be so psyched if I actually got a full band together.

this band rules, listen to them.

cbmartinez 04-11-2007 09:41 AM

Wow, that band is pretty awesome.

And that'd be one hell of a combination of influences for a band.

Lazybassplr56 04-11-2007 11:36 AM

I can't wait to see what Down puts out next.

team_racket 04-11-2007 12:06 PM

nobody around my way can even comprehend real hardcore. its all about s'hitty scene metal. i would love to play in a hardcore band of some sort.

Bro all the bands in miami are shitty metalcore Christian bands. I despise God now, and jesus.

When are they releasing something? NOLA is so good.

I would love to do something like that, something with a southern/groove feel.

Lazybassplr56 04-11-2007 03:16 PM

I think there putting something out in the summer.

NewKindofArmy03 04-11-2007 03:22 PM

Do you know if they're playing ozzfest or was that just a rumor? That would rule if they were, it being free and all...

Sucks they played here a like 9 days ago but I was completely broke.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-11-2007 10:03 PM

Saw Brand New last night, ruuled. Been waiting to see them since like 7th grade, played a 2 hour set.

Also got no sleep and came back from austin this morning with no sleep and still drunk/hungover. Threw up in my mouth lots in class.

Getting my tonsils out tomorrow.

yep.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-11-2007 10:06 PM

Did they play a lot of new stuff? I haven't seen them since before Deja Entendu came out, I want to see them again though.

NewKindofArmy03 04-11-2007 10:23 PM

I want to see them on the 25th so bad, but I don't feel like paying more than 30 for a ticket.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-11-2007 10:44 PM
Did they play a lot of new stuff? I haven't seen them since before Deja Entendu came out, I want to see them again though.
Only 1 song from YFW

NewKindofArmy03 04-11-2007 10:47 PM

I think they have 2 setlists on the tour, you might've gotten the not as good one. I saw one where they played Jude Law(but just Jesse), Shower Scene, No Seatbelt Song, Seventy Times 7, and two more.

Did they play Deja Entendu all the way through?

40 oz 2 freedom 04-11-2007 10:54 PM

They played shower scene, and said they were gonna play Seventy Times Seven then played another song.

They played everything from Deja except The Quiet Things and Guernica. Opened with Play Crack The Sky.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-11-2007 11:46 PM

Hmm, considering the costs of the shows its probably not worth it.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-12-2007 12:11 AM

It was worth it

TakeWarning 04-12-2007 01:53 AM

I'd love to see Brand New.

Provided they didn't play much new stuff.

santi3hg 04-15-2007 01:50 PM

I just got back from FBLA state competitions. I went as a voting delegate. Had a ****ing blast though.

I had no curfew since we stayed in another hotel where our school was the only one staying so I basically and fun time running about in Orlando ****ing around with tourists.

Anyone got a link for This is Hardcore fest.

cbmartinez 04-15-2007 07:31 PM

Hahahahahaha, I just remembered when Shane used to make fun of Scott (or vice versa) for listening to Sinai Beach by quoting that line "\m/ I PISS ON YOUR TORTURED SOUL \m/"

God, that was so funny.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-15-2007 08:33 PM

Sinai Beach was one of the worst bands I ever did saw

Let's Chop Cats! 04-15-2007 08:34 PM

i'm so glad i bypassed that whole shitty metalcore phase within like 2 weeks.

The Chemist 04-16-2007 12:01 PM

Where would Death By Stereo be placed in this eclectic genre of music known as Hardcore?

Let's Chop Cats! 04-16-2007 12:50 PM

lynch_me 04-16-2007 01:49 PM
