This is what I would tell myself. I think it only works for a little while.
Depends what you're critting; if its just rubbish stuff then you won't learn much, but the better the work you look over the better you can get. You can pick up ideas and see things you hadn't thought of. And mistakes you'd rather not make.
oh **** you guys! This week sucks! It's only tuesday! AH!
Week was awesome. I have literally accomplished nothing.
b) Point out very bad literature But mostly to help, despite what I know about literature isn't that much of a huge amount of knowledge, but what I can I share it.
The helping thing was something I forgot, that can be nice as well.
I think that my "This sucks" method works really well.
Its succinct and to the point. metaphorically it is the stiletto of crits, whereas the long ones are like sledge hammers. |
I've never just said this sucks and left.
elims next response: your mom sucks then leaves |

2 exams and 3 left...
UGH! I had one this morning at 8, but it's all good because my prof. emailed me and told me I nearly aced the exam.. AWESOME! I just wish I could that on the rest... |
I'm beginning to think that when I critique I'm overly subjective with the style which I always want to reminisce my own
=| |
Sweet
You been writing lately
Nope |
I critique because it helps me understand other's writing styles, and hopefully learn from them. I feel I learned a lot from 'Can U Smell It?' By Pegasis.
I might post something tonight. I'm undecided yet. Depends if I can get the time to sit and write it. |

Apocalypse Now > every other film. |
28 days later has music from Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
SO it wins. |
Apocalypse Now has Marlon Brando reading T S Eliot is an overly dramatic, thespian way. And it has the best voice over ever. So it wins.
28 Days later is chill though. |
Apocalypse Now eh...Ill have to rent it.
Or d/l it torrent style. I dont know yet. |
I'm eyeing off the Mad Max box set at K-Mart for Christmas.
|
Apocalypse Now eh...Ill have to rent it.
Or d/l it torrent style. I dont know yet.
Probably easier to rent it. Its over three hours long. But its not a film about vietnam. It is vietnam. Its a trippy experience.
I'm eyeing off the Mad Max box set at K-Mart for Christmas.
Never liked Mad Max all that much, seemed like Waterworld but on land. And without gills. But on the plus side, your avatar is from a great video game. |
Conquers Bad Fur Day is so fun :)

Watched City of God a couple days ago, but it was in Brazilian with no subtitles. It was still amazing. Really amazing.
But Apocolypse Now is on my list of films to see. |
