MJK is by far the most overrated vocalist I've ever heard of.

nowitzki 11-25-2005 03:45 AM

Im' a huge fan of MJK, his voice is so unique and suits Tool perfectly. But I don't think he'd be capable of handling as many different syles as JLB.

scenesfromatheater 11-25-2005 04:51 AM

Swimming in a lake Fffffffffffffffffffffffiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee............

I'd like to see MJK do that....then he probably would and he would hold it on for 30 seconds...:upset:

But it wouldn't be as cool.

Quick question for you guys. I love Space Dye Vest, but what is it about/what clip is used throughout the song? Sounds like it's from a movie.

And it would probably be really low and boring.

Isn't it from Room with a View?

tehnick 11-26-2005 07:03 AM

I am halfway through learning the Under A Glass Moon solo XD. The only bit thats holding me back is wherre Petrucci starts doing 5 finger tapping : (

scenesfromatheater 11-26-2005 07:28 AM

Any DT song usually holds me back when playing guitar. The only song I can play all the way through by DT is TROAE....without solo :upset:

Jev 11-26-2005 07:29 AM

Learn the silent man, it's pretty easy. The YTSE jam is probably one of the easier ones IMO.

scenesfromatheater 11-26-2005 07:30 AM

I'm going to get the acoustic out and learn the silent man, and attemp to sing along to it.

Jev 11-26-2005 07:32 AM

I did learn it but it just doesn't sound right to me. Not that I mind, it'll still get me a decent grade in my GCSE.

Oooo...I performed my 'Special Events' course work piece and I got 24/25:p . I got 23/25 for that composition also.

Moondog 11-26-2005 10:17 AM

I like DT, especially Images & Words and Scenes From a Memory, but they can easily become a laborious listen.

I played YTSE jam for my GCSE composition and I got like nearly full marks. she just told me that it was 'very good'.

scenesfromatheater 11-27-2005 06:33 AM

Haha, GCSE music is so easy.

GenuineImitation 11-27-2005 01:18 PM

I love Pull Me Under. I think it deserves more respect.

Lord Abortion 11-27-2005 01:22 PM

I love it too...

As a Certified Maiden Fanboy, on recieving the Number of the beast Bootleg in full, I am overjoyed at how well they do it.

GenuineImitation 11-27-2005 01:26 PM

I have that cd to. They did a very good job with it...I really like their version of Hallowed Be Thy Name.

LaBrie's vocals on run to the hills are patchy...
