Well how else could he have such skills on teh tubs?
Nicko is the Greatest Drummer this side of anything :thumb: What a guy!
hes trying to save himself from the devil... :amaze: |
I actually reckon the best drummer ever was Gene Krupa.
|
Nope...
have u got msn? cause if you have, add me on freakinacage31@hotmail.com and ill send you some, he is amazing. I swear on my life, he is so riduculosuly good. they are basically maiden, but power metal (ie fast, lots of palm muting) |
or just go to www.dragonforce.com and listen to my spirit will go on
|
well, we're talkative
|
lol i didnt post agen because that would be a triple post, which is wrong
which other bands do you guys love/like other than maiden? |
Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) Great Song :thumb:
|
hell yes.
|
Here's my vore for the extra MA member:
1) YDload 2) Lord Abortion 3) HeavyRiva 4) Sack Man 5) 88_fingers_joe. So who's gonna do the "Authority" suggestion to the mods?
im not bothered about being in the authority. its like shadow_stalker says, i really dont have a huge knowledge of maiden, just knowledge of some things about them. nice to be recognised though :thumb: |
I'm a great fan of the three big folk stars - Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon (and Art Garfunkel).
I'm also a huge Meat Loaf fan. |
i like metallica / chili peppers / pink floyd / green day / black sabbath / ozzy osbourne / ac/dc / oasis / foo fighters / velvet revolver and various others.
|
cool
im a big power metal fan, Bodom and Dragonforce being my fave bands in that genre but i also love the uk ska scene at the mo, the filaments, bosseye, capdown and no comply all being great (but maiden being better) |
maiden are definitely the best band in the world...also i just saw the video for wildest dreams on scuzz...1st time ive seen it
|
theres also a power metal band call HammerFall i like, i havnt heard much of their stuff but i may buy an album after christmas...dont jnow much about them except theyre possibly playing download next year
|
Yeh? Tis a good vid.
Be Quick Or Be Dead is SUCH a typical early-90's video. |
is it good?
|
Tis OK I guess
|
meh
GurS have ou heard of constant release? its a bass drum pedal technique, and thats how Nicko gets his singles so fast on those triplets. |
I can't say that I have - I'm also self-taught.
|
ahh ok. well its all about using the bounce of the beater of the bass drum, and using it to strike again and again with alot more ease than doing all of them straight
think of it, as ashman said, as a pendulam. its like a drum roll, but on a bass drum. |
i really dont understand much of this as the only time ive played drums was at lord_abortion's house before we went to see maiden and a few years ago at school when music was compulsory
|
Listened to a bit of Dragonforce, and I'm very impressed :thumb:
|
^
ahhh, another convert |
yeh.... except we're going off topic.
new topic: Best Live Album |
my spirit will go on is good. just listened to it on the dragonforce site
|
hmm only live album ive heard all of is rock in rio and thats kick ***
|
i would say live after death (common revelations and Bruce plays guitar)
me and ashman were just talking, and we think it would be a good idea for all us maiden fans, along with the offical authority, to attempt to review all of maidens cd's. I have said that i will do Virtual 11 and Brave New World and ash said he will do The X Factor what do you guys think |
Best live album : BBC Archives :thumb:
I know it's 3 concerts, and the BBc soundtapes, but it still rocks. Also Me and Joe have come up with a plan to Review all Maiden Albums in the Review thing. I got SSOASS and XFactor :thumb: |
I'll do that... what's left over to review? Shotgun Piece of Mind if it's open.
|
it isn't :(
Shotgun Fear of the Dark, Live After Death and Live At Donnington |
