RTL is defiantly one of the best 'tallica albums thanks to songs like creeping death, Call of Ktulu, fade to black and trapped under ice

DimebagDarrell 07-30-2004 09:27 AM

yes rtl is good but mop > rtl :)

GraveRobbersINC 07-30-2004 09:38 AM

I think I can say as a whole KEA>all Metallica albums.

Nah i dont rate kill em all, james's vocals arent very good and kirk guitar playing isnt as good as they are on other albums such as mop, rtl and ajfa

Ratmevilempire 07-30-2004 09:49 AM

I can't go to infernal majesty :upset: I have to go to my cottage. :upset:
Well I switched to Ride mainly because of Trapped Under Ice which has really grown on me since when I first bought it, no one seemed to have it and so I thought I'd just switch over. I'll switch back if you want.
DisposableHeroes 07-30-2004 01:48 PM

i'm not sure the reformed Dark Angel is the time does not heal line-up, in an interview with eric meyer it says:

Mike Gonzolez was contacted in regards to it, but he has other things going on so he won’t be around. The guy from Morgion is not with us, not around so he is not doing it either. We’ve got a good friend of ours who has been working with the band for years, probably since 89 or something, I’ve known him since 1986, Danny Williams, he is going to be playing bass with us. We have been working on that, working with him.

Will Hoglan be playing drums?

DisposableHeroes 07-30-2004 01:53 PM

yes, hoglan, ron and eric are in %100 for sure

Ratmevilempire 07-30-2004 04:52 PM

I don't really have anything constructive to add but I wanted to bump this thread so um...
Does anyone here like queensryche?
I bought Operation:Mindcrime a couple of years ago because it was cheap and I had money, but I haven't liked it much at all..

Does anyone know how long Dargon is away for? He's been gone a long while now.

GraveRobbersINC 07-30-2004 05:48 PM

It was either a month or 4 months...

GraveRobbersINC 07-30-2004 06:40 PM

Well the Megadeth reissues are finally out, and now I can finally get my hands on some classic thrash so my question to you is which megadeth album do you vote
Killing is My Business...And Business is Good
Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?
So Far, So Good...So What
and I'm of course going to buy Rust in Peace so I didn't bother putting that ont here.

RCA 07-30-2004 06:48 PM

Killing Is My Business wasn't re-issued I thought? Anyways, get Peace Sells :thumb:

GraveRobbersINC 07-30-2004 06:50 PM

Yeah, it was remastered some time ago. Yeah Peace Sells appears to be rated well next to rust.

RCA 07-30-2004 06:54 PM

Ahh, thats why it didn't come out with the others. I guess I haven't been paying much attention to Megadeth. I've been listening to a lot of Mercyful Fate lately though.

NP: Dark Angel - Black Prophecies

JMetallica 07-30-2004 10:44 PM

Hmmm. I would serisouly suggest you get So Far... It has an awesome atmosphere which most put down to bad song writing or production (it is neither). Peace Sells is a great album, although there are a lot of light-weight moments you may or may not enjoy. Both Pretty good albums, you will probably get all albums sooner or later, so it doesn't really matter which one is purchased first. :D

EDIT:

Mercyful fate are indeed awesomeness. Melissa, not only has some awesome riffs, excellent shrieking vocals, but the drumming is totally unreal. Listen to EVIL, oh man that is pure creamage. You could take the guitars out and not only would you be able to get a rough idea of what is going on, but nothing would be lost (except the guitar sound :p). Textbook drumming at it's best!

NP: Acid Reign - Codes Of Conformity (gotta love the little outro bit... or not)

ThrashMaster27 07-30-2004 10:46 PM

Killing Is My Business is the one to get. Crazy, crazy solos and very fast lead work! You'll probs get mixed answers though, I'd just chose the album I wanted on my own if I were you.

JMetallica 07-31-2004 01:04 AM

Well, I just listened To So Far So Good So What and Peace Sells But Who's Buying? and I'd definately say: Get So Far... Awesome album!

Chose the record which has the best title track....Killing Is My Business wins hands down for me!

GraveRobbersINC 07-31-2004 05:31 AM

Call me crazy, but I think the question has come to Countdown to Extinction vs. Killing is My Business. I'll just see what ones they have.

Ratmevilempire 07-31-2004 11:46 AM

Dargon left for poland for a month,I think he will be back in approx. 1 week. Which Is also when I will be back for I am leaving for my cottage in an hour or so.
Call me crazy, but I think the question has come to Countdown to Extinction vs. Killing is My Business. I'll just see what ones they have.
and if you choose Countdown... YOU'RE A FOOL!

GraveRobbersINC 07-31-2004 05:45 PM

I ended up only having enough money for one so I of course got Rust in Peace, and...speechless on this one. Pure Excellence.

RCA 07-31-2004 09:30 PM

I ended up buying Peace Sells and Rust In Peace. I like these remasters, pretty neat.

Walshy 07-31-2004 10:16 PM

How do you join this?

RCA 07-31-2004 10:18 PM

The first post of the thread explains that. :thumb:

JMetallica 08-01-2004 04:07 AM

Nice. Are there any bonuses? or is it just a standard re-release?
