Just now got Evisceration Plague, and I love it.

witchxrapist 04-23-2010 02:39 PM

Visceral Evisceration is pretty ****ing king. Oh, and Evisceration Plague is Cannibal Corpse's worst album.

landonius 04-23-2010 02:46 PM

Lol honestly? I've only listened to evisceration plague. Now I'm on gallery of suicide. What next?

witchxrapist 04-23-2010 02:46 PM

Eaten Back To Life, Butchered At Birth, Tomb Of The Mutilated, The Bleeding.

Txus 04-23-2010 02:51 PM

Visceral Evisceration are elite

witchxrapist 04-23-2010 02:52 PM

Old melodeath > new melodeath, huge surprise right?

Txus 04-23-2010 02:54 PM

What makes Visceral Evisceration very good to me is that they mix melodeath with doom so well.

Squirrel 04-23-2010 02:58 PM

i enjoyed CCs Kill album tbh

landonius 04-23-2010 03:01 PM

Hm.

Anyone listen to as you drown? Reflections is sick.

Nope, no melodeath in their music, not their album or the As I Lay Dying promo. (Not that metalcore band) Unless you are referring to their demo which I have not heard. They are just melodic doom/death, simple as that.

Deth 04-25-2010 04:28 PM

you're an idiot

you know if you change your adjectives around you would get melodic death right

Byrain 04-25-2010 04:50 PM

You're not serious, are you?

Let me tell you then, melodic death metal is a misnomer, much closer to nwobhm then death metal, the main difference (Between melodeath and nwobhm) is the harsh vocals. And Doom/death is a doom metal sub-genre, not fusion or death, as the lines towards the traditional bands as Candlemass and Saint Vitus (Though, Scald from Russia if you know them are probably closer to Visceral Evisceration in sound then those two) are much clearer then they are to death metal. Or to melodeath, which is even less related.

Deth 04-25-2010 05:09 PM

cool story bro

Byrain 04-25-2010 05:13 PM

So I'm being trolled, cool. :thumb:

masscows 04-25-2010 05:39 PM

Byrain 04-25-2010 05:50 PM
take your asperger's syndrome elsewhere, large bundle of sticks
I had to look up "Large bundle of sticks", haven't heard that one before

Though, you're just as welcome to leave. ;) :smoke:

bloozclooz 04-25-2010 06:31 PM

that's what the filter turns fagget into. he didn't really call you that.

on a side note. found this sweet music video. combines wolfmen snorting cocaine off a toiliet seat with some pretty tight death metal.

Yes and no, this is very dependent on specific bands of course.

Stuff like In Flames (or the Gothenburg scene in general) I could see that comparison, however their drumming on the old material, as well as some of the riffs are what would set them in the MDM field as opposed to heavy metal (vocals of course too).

Then we have bands like Intestine Baalism, Visceral Evisceration, and Loudblast. Death metal bands with tons of melodic leads. Do you see where I'm going with this?

eh, if you want to put things like that they play melodic mid tempo death metal.

discussing genres like that is really ****ing gay because everyone listens to music differently which some people hardly grasp and to me they sound more like death metal than doom of course they have some doom influence but they are more toward the death metal side, even with their lyrics.

witchxrapist 04-25-2010 06:44 PM

Even with their name.

Txus 04-25-2010 06:46 PM

That too, haha.

you wouldn't say that if you saw someone writing about how suicide silence opened them up to old school black metal.

2muchket! 04-25-2010 06:47 PM

I love Intestine Baalism, would I be interested in Visceral Evisceration ?

Oh and FINALLY got round to the new Immo, **** is legit.

Been listening to a lot more straight forward DM lately.

yes but that's a little more extreme than what was being discussed right now, don't you think?
