Ugh, I could upload it I guess...

slut
Don't you see? He turned the whole argument around just so someone would upload it for him.;)

jpj 11-01-2005 07:19 PM
pfftyoureasyonhim...

and like typical Limewire, all they have for Frank Zappa is, Willie The Pimp, Why Does It Hurt When I Pee, and My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Momma.
Well, Willie the Pimp is on Hot Rats...you could get 1/6 of the album.

Oh, and congratulations, you're the winner of stupid comment of the week.

Walrus Gumboot 11-01-2005 07:21 PM

The Krabsman always says something unfair about an album and gets you to upload them. This must be the third time
Speaking of jazz Head Hunters is a great album. Chameleon is an amazing song.

np- Chameleon
We're doing that for jazz bad
Albeit, a three-minute long version, but it's not so bad

EDIT: We should do WIllie The Pimp for jazz band
What's the instrument in the begining? I could see it being a violin, guitar, keys or harmonica at a streatch

What did you guys do for senior messages?
I'm thinking "Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there" may be apprapriate

jpj 11-01-2005 07:23 PM

I'm pretty sure it's a violin.

And for my senior message, it would be something very stupid (Who farted?) or something Classic Rock related, because I'm cool like that.

Krabsworth 11-01-2005 07:25 PM

What did I say so stupid? I was aware that Willie The Pimp is on that album, but it it's not good to judge an album by one song is it?

I got 1 more year before I have to choose something. I think my favorite line from a song of all-time is "But me I'm still on the road, headin' for another joint"

I used to have that as my usertitle.

Making a completely false statement about an album you've never heard.

Krabsworth 11-01-2005 07:29 PM
Making a completely false statement about an album you've never heard.
I just can't see Frank Zappa making a straight forward jazz album.

I might steal that.

Or

"I, wanna rock and roll all night, and party every day!"
I just can't see Frank Zappa making a straight forward jazz album.
No one said it was straight forward jazz, it's fusion.

Walrus Gumboot 11-01-2005 07:31 PM

My Jazz Collection

John Scofield/MMW- A Go Go
Herbie Hancock- Head Hunters
Miles Davis- Aura
John Coltrane- A Love Supreme
Frank Zappa-Hot Rats
Mahavishnu Orchestra-Apocolypse

I am an intense Jazz n00b

So my parents went to show me the new furnace behind the garage, so we walk out back, and there is a man in a car in a sleeping bag next to the garage watching a tiny television. My dad asked the bearded man with circular glasses if he had heard the plane, and he said "I don't know" and we kept on walking
There is a hippie living in my back yard.
"But me I'm still on the road, headin' for another joint"
I'd die laughing if I could get that published in the yearbook, maybe I should try

I can't see Zappa making a straight rock album either.

edit - Oh and by the way, I'm not smoking any weed until Christmas Holidays start...did I tell you guys that? Today is my first day. I'm talking to my friend and he's saying I've inspired him to quit till Christmas too....but I doubt he'll be able to. He's been smoking up daily since he was 13 years old, and he's 18 now....rehab, councelling and drug tests didn't stop him, I'll be very surprised if I managed to make him quit.

Why? Tis a noble cause
Senior Profile (?):
So now I'm goin' back again,
I got to get to her(him? haha) somehow.
All the people we used to know
They're an illusion to me now.
Some are mathematicians
Some are carpenter's wives.
Don't know how it all got started,
I don't know what they're doin' with their lives.
But me, I'm still on the road
Headin' for another joint
We always did feel the same,
We just saw it from a different point of view,
Tangled up in blue.

I'd love to wiggle a drug reference in there

robo2448 11-01-2005 07:42 PM

Anyone up for a chat?

JonG 11-01-2005 07:43 PM

Me.

I'm on :)

robo2448 11-01-2005 07:46 PM
Me.

Nobody's online:upset:

I love how I suggest a chat before I even check to see if anyone's online. Maybe later tonight.

DeusExMachina 11-01-2005 07:46 PM

I shouldn't, but... I'm down for a chat.

Walrus Gumboot 11-01-2005 07:53 PM

I have to read Sun Tzu's The Art of War

I hope you don't mind me blatanly stealing your Tangled Up In Blue whatsit, it's so perfect. Maybe I can distract them from the drug reference with my long list of extra curricular activities
But the again, there's no chace that you would have known if I hadn't metioned it

Lunch 11-01-2005 08:06 PM

I haven't thought about my senior quote yet. Although "No one here gets out alive" is cool.

JonG 11-01-2005 08:12 PM

War is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate

/marvin gaye

Use that.

Hot Rats has been sent out..

Glitterati 11-01-2005 08:27 PM

"Class of '07"

"Livin' on the Chinese Rock"

PinkFreud 11-01-2005 08:57 PM

my class' was, "what a long, strange, trip it's been."

no lie.

Illmatic 11-01-2005 09:37 PM

"Senior message" = "Yearbook quote"?

Someone fill me in here.

thickasabrick 11-01-2005 10:08 PM
"Senior message" = "Yearbook quote"?

I'm assuming so. Although it seems some some schools have like just one large quote that everyone votes on, and at other schools each student has his own quote.

I'm getting pretty good at this harmonica thing.

Leper 11-02-2005 12:39 AM

Aww I wish my school did that. A quote would've been cool.

NP: Neil Young- Here For You

Jacaranda 11-02-2005 07:43 AM

Did any one download Donovan!
Any way, my avatar is the guitarist for MC5 I just think he looks cool, I wanted the lead singer but I couldn't find any good pics with him.

PinkFreud 11-02-2005 08:26 AM

i downloaded the donovan. havent listened to it yet.

wayne kramer gives guitar lessons in ann arbor, about half an hour from my town. my friend's dad knew him and the other members. the friend has actually sat on kramer's lap. im so jealous.

also, my ex-guitarist's uncle is somewhere on the album cover for the record version of kick out the jams.

conversely, my dad gave away all his old records, thinking they would be worthless to him. thanks a lot, dad.

magicbus 11-02-2005 10:27 AM

I didn't do a senior quote :/

Instead I'm supposed to have a picture of our group chillin after school, but I don't know how that's supposed to fit in that small of a space.

The other night I had a dream that John Lennon and George Harrison came over to visit. It was weird. We were watching a "making of" documentary on a Beatles album or something and they were like "I remember that."

:amaze:

There are places I remember...

robo2448 11-02-2005 02:54 PM

I downloaded the Donovon. The only song I've listened to so far is The Cuckoo, but that's a really good song.

I once had a dream that I got high with John Lennon and Bob Dylan. It was quite an interesting dream.

Broken Arrow 11-02-2005 03:01 PM

On Helloween I put a fake beard on and to feel like what it'd be like to be Jerry.

Thats all I have to add.

Walrus Gumboot 11-02-2005 03:51 PM

I had a seriously freay dream about the frankenstien lookalike that's been sitting (creepliy) in the back of my English class for four years. I saw him this morning and wanted to scream with terror and discust, but I didn't
Has anyone had a dream that profoundly affected you in the world of reality?

DeusExMachina 11-02-2005 04:57 PM

I sent out Quadrophenia.
