Ragged Glory.
That's all I can think of that's completely electric.
Well I don't need completly electric, but I'll check that out. |
I love the doors' drumming, that guy's got style.
Yea, he's good. Each musician in The Doors is pretty good. |
Agreed, I quite enjoy Densmore's drumming.
|

Yes they are, and both as a drummer and a s a musician I admire much of the drum work. The drum work sounds amazing and it's something beyond your basic rock beat. He's got a real great style, I love it,l He's a big influence of mine. On a side note I'm trying (slowly) to learn the keyboard part to riders on the storm (I've been teaching myself some piano). It's really cool, still beyond my capabilities at this point (And I don't even have the music for the solo) but it's cool stuff. |
Agreed, I quite enjoy Densmore's drumming.
Ya, He's unique. |
What Neil Young albums are a little more electric. Like are thier any good albums that sound more like Southern Man than like O Lonsome Me?
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere is much more electric than a lot of his albums. R.I.P Jim |
Has anyone seen the movie Spun? I watched it the other night, and it was pretty good. There were appearances by Deborah Harry and Rob Halford and probably some more famous musicians I didn't notice. Anyone else see this movie?
|
No I haven't, what's it about?
|
No I haven't, what's it about?
A bunch of meth heads. The main character is like a nice quiet guy who doesn't think he is addicted to meth, but by the end of the movie he definitely is. The movie only takes place over a couple of days, and the main character works for a bunch of meth cooks/dealers. He mainly just drives them around. That's basically what the movie is, a couple days in the life of a meth head. Debbie Harry is his lesbian next door neighbour, and Rob Halford (who looks the same as he did 20 years ago) works at a porno store. |
Sounds like GTA.
|
Sounds like GTA.
It's a cool movie, a little strange though. It actually shows the movie through the eyes of someone on meth, every once in a while everything will go like twice as fast, or everything will start like twitching and crazy stuff will happen. It's weird and hard to explain. Good movie though. Ok my mom just called and gave me like five hundred chores to do. I gotta go :upset: |
John Densmore's drumming is cool. I always loved Ray Manzarek's keyboard skills.
I got Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska today. |

Really? I can't get enough of it What's your avatar? |
Yeah I love Densmore's drumming as well.. I think each of the doors members had a lot of individuality, yet somehow Jim ALWAYS gets all the credit =(
|
It's because he's the frontman. And he was the most outrageous.

Black Dog
Communication Breakdown Trampled Underfoot Nobody's Fault But Mine What Is and What Never Should Be Dancing Days D'Yer Maker All Led Zeppelin songs that I have heard on the radio in only two days. The classic rock stations are full of them, and yet no Stairway! |
Led Zeppelin is getting murdered by radio stations these days.
|
ACtually the only zppeling osng I've heard on the radio in a number of weeks has been stairway, and I've heard it 3 or 4 times.
|
Classic Rock radio stations usually suck, even when you only have general knowledge of the genre.
|
Ya, they do play an insane amount of terrible songs especially when the government regulates how many of them must be canadian...
|
Lunch, what do you think about 94.7?

Are you serious? They do that? I couldn't imagine...
Yep. For the modern rock stations, they'll play some good stuff, then something like Our Lady Peace, Nickelback, or Three Days Grace. I barely listen the radio anymore. I got my good ol' reliable computer for all my music needs :) np: Roy Orbison - Pretty Woman |
Really? I can't get enough of it
What's your avatar?
Some random picture I found. I thought it looked pretty cool. Don't get me wrong, I love Neil Young, I just don't dig Mirror Ball that much. |
