Hey guys, how's it going? I just got back from a show.

And, I got a new avatar courtesy of Kif. :D

Permanent Solution 09-03-2005 10:40 PM

What show?

Mute Print 09-03-2005 10:45 PM

3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, and No Address.

Pretty mainstream, but it was fun. 3 Doors Down had one of the most incredible stages I've ever seen.

Permanent Solution 09-03-2005 10:46 PM

Ah, fun times. I'm not really into any of those bands, but shows are always fun.

Tjebby 09-03-2005 10:46 PM

I dont like Stained or Breaking Benjamin.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 10:47 PM

I'm actually not into those bands much anymore, but it was still a great show.

I'd seen 3 Doors Down once before, so that was the main reason I went.

Understanding In a Crash 09-03-2005 10:51 PM

Staind sounds really good live. There lead singer is one of the best and one of my favorites in that genre.

They were really good. I like their heavy stuff quite a bit. Their new stuff is a bit soft, but they put on a great show. The crowd seemed pretty into it as well.

Breaking Benjamin was decent. I did end up getting a pick though. It hit my dad in the face. :p

Understanding In a Crash 09-03-2005 10:55 PM

The drums in the chorus of "Right here" by staind is very catchy.

cbmartinez 09-03-2005 10:56 PM

"Just Like You" by Three Days Grace was always a guilty pleasure for me.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 11:00 PM

Up until about a year ago, I was into a fair amount of mainstream rock and metal. I liked bands like Three Days Grace, Staind, Nickelback, and Metallica a lot.

I also really like Trapt and Smile Empty Soul. I still listen to them quite a bit. The new Trapt CD is one of the few rock/metal albums I plan to buy.

Understanding In a Crash 09-03-2005 11:02 PM

I still like Smile Empty Soul alot... and not embarassed by it. A really sexy bassist indeed.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 11:06 PM

Smile Empty Soul is really a good band. I saw them with Trapt last year, and they put on a great show. I'm really looking forward to a new album from them, but I haven't heard much about one.

cbmartinez 09-03-2005 11:06 PM

I was really into Linkin Park and Trust Company. I was listening to Disturbed yesterday too and I actually really dig some of the stuff.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 11:08 PM

Haha, I forgot about Disturbed. I used to be real into them. "Down With The Sickness" was my favorite song a few years ago.

I even downloaded their new album a few weeks back, but haven't had a chance to listen to it.

cbmartinez 09-03-2005 11:11 PM

My friend let me borrow Prayer back in 8th and I'm actually considering buying it or downloading it because it ruled so hard.

Do you mean Believe?

cbmartinez 09-03-2005 11:15 PM

Yeah, whatever. The best part in "Down With The Sickness" was the "no mommy, don't hit me like that" part. I was just like  the first time I heard it.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 11:16 PM

Believe is a solid album. I bought a while back, and still listen to it once in a while.

Understanding In a Crash 09-03-2005 11:19 PM

Mute Print 09-04-2005 12:31 AM

I wrote 1/5 of the band blogs for the Top 100 Pop-Punk bands. :p

MattSharpIsCool 09-04-2005 12:42 AM

Well I missed the nu-metal discussion, but...

I <3 Disturbed, they rock my face. Also, old Korn is amazing. The lyrics and complete rockness of it.....Korn's new stuff is probably the worst music ever made though. System of a Down is one of my favorite bands, I love them with all of my heart and pee pee. Staind used to be one of my favorite bands...I havent listened to them in forever though, maybe I will.

Thats about the only nu-metal I like.

People who say that are lying. I mean who would post on a forum while they are drunk and having a party. Not me.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-04-2005 03:55 AM
