Ah well you will probably enjoy it a lot if you haven't seen all of it. Z is like 375 episodes though so that can be tedious haha. I used to be obsessed with it and bought all the manga when they were localized. I rented fan subs of the episodes that weren't out in America yet because it took forever for Toonami to get new episodes and they were always censored.

It was funny, the fansubs back then always put in extra cursing to make it more "badass" like they made Vegeta say "fuck" all the time even when it wasn't the correct translation. Still it was really cool to be able to watch the Cell and Buu sagas years before they came out in America.

A few years back when Kai was being made new episodes would hit the internet every Sunday night and that was so fun to rewatch them. I've always liked Future Trunks a lot and teen Gohan. My favorite sagas are King Piccolo from DB, the Saiyan saga and the Cell saga.

How much of it have you seen and have you seen the original DB? I wish they would make a Kai version of the original too.

Vegeta is my favorite character. Frieza and Cell/Android sagas are best.

Gohan's ss2 transformation in all the different dubs. The Portugese one is fucking hilarious, when I saw it the first time I laughed so hard I choked on the water I was drinking.

Vegeta is one of my favorites too he's a bad motherfucker. I'm not really a fan of the Freiza saga because it's pretty boring up until they fight Freiza but Goku turning super saiyajin for the first time was amazing.

The Android/Cell saga is fantastic. That part where Freiza comes to Earth then mirai Trunks shows up, turns super saiyajin and cuts him in half like nothing was one of my favorite scenes in all of Z.

I was a losa who loved Trunks.

The series became shit once Goku surpassed everybody to a laughable amount.

Then they are like oh shit we will just let Vegeta bypass lvl 3 so he's relevant again.

I watch youtube clips once and awhile for nostalgia, but I couldn't go through the whole series again, even if they cut out some of the filla.

And when they made Gohan a bitch. Come on.

This kid was nurtured to be a badass, and once he hits adulthood he decides to be a pussy? And his nature being a Saiyan should make him alpha. But no.

I liked Frieza's character. Seemed so legitimately menacing and unbeatable when i was young lol

I preferred him before the bulk-up of the final transformation against Goku, when he was all agile and shit

The thing is, Toriyama wanted to end the series after the Cell saga. It was supposed to end with Gohan saving the world and taking over for Goku. All the fans and executives pressured Toriyama into writing more when he didn't want to. He wanted Gohan be the main character of the Buu saga too but there was fan outcry over 'waah we want Son Goku!'

I think it would have been way better if it ended at Cell because the Buu arc was WAY too long and too silly.

Gogeta isn't canon. He only appears in movie 13 which wasn't part of the manga so technically, he doesn't really count.

However, Fusion Reborn was one of the best of the movies. I mean it had Gotenks fighting Hitler for god's sake.

Just watched that Gogeta video, good lord the funimation dub is insufferable. They totally change a bunch of the dialogue and the voices are awful. Goku is supposed to sound like a little kid, his seiyu was the same lady that had been doing his voice since DB and that voice fit his character a lot better. The dub tries to turn him into a cliche American action hero when originally he was a cute, idiot hero type. The dub tries way too hard to Americanize the series.

The music in the funimation version is really corny too. The dub and sub are almost a completely different show in terms of tone.

I think he meant their initial battle in the Saiyan saga. I thought that one was a lot more exciting. By the time they got to Majin Vegeta vs SSJ2 Goku the series was already sorta stale. The saiyan saga had so much character development and so many plot twists.

That part where Piccolo sacrifices himself to save Son Gohan was v touching.
