You could stay in our guest-room for a while

IheartSP 09-18-2005 02:52 PM

I'll find some way over there someday, I'd love to go and see some shows lol.

Shattered_Future 09-18-2005 02:58 PM

What do I refer to myself as...

I know I was baptized, but I dunno if I'm Catholic or just plain Christian...so I just call myself an unpracticing Christian. I celebrate all the Christian holidays, so I guess that counts for something...maybe.

I'd like to move to Italy, even though that's probably one of the most Catholic areas of the world...it seems so peaceful over there.

So would I for that reason and I'm mostly Italian. I'm actually different from most people in this thread, I go to church every Sunday.

dest. Chaos 09-18-2005 03:09 PM

I'm baptized. which I couldn't really do much about. and I am have confirm.. confirma... wtf is it called... confirmed or confirmated? well I just did that cos i got money and stuff.. haha  I'm atheist i never pray to anything, don't believe in anything, if I read in the bible I read the first two pages where they explain how the earth was "created". It's a good laugh!!! and I never go to church.. It was church election today, but I didn't feel like walking 8 minutes to the church and vote... and then go back 8 minutes again... haha I'm so lazy...

IheartSP 09-18-2005 03:11 PM

Well I don't think I should really say my views on Christianity here, they really piss some people off. But I am friends with some Christians and I get along with them for the most part, if you aren't an extreme one I really don't have much of a problem, it's when religion interferes with your life that I think it gets out of hand.

I don't like christianity... and I don't know anyone about my age who does.. except! all those "hiphop yo niggahs" whish I hate and kick with my steel boots.

dest. Chaos 09-18-2005 03:19 PM

And I always wear my antichrist-ish upside down cross around my neck...

Thor 09-18-2005 04:53 PM

I personally don't care what religion anyone is, just don't try to convert me.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 04:55 PM

Yeah as an Athiest I feel hypocritical converting people even tho I think I could, but I feel it's wrong becuase it kind of goes against the whole thing.

Shadows 09-18-2005 04:57 PM
And I always wear my antichrist-ish upside down cross around my neck...
I once wore my Mayhem shirt with several inverted crosses on it to school. It was nice, since I go to a Catholic school. I'm just glad no teachers noticed.

Wow, they didn't notice? My guess would have been that they would have doused you in holy water or something like that.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 05:01 PM

People think I'm a satanist cuase of my number of the beast shirt, obviously they haven't heard Iron Maiden.

Shadows 09-18-2005 05:02 PM

I would've gotten a PIN, more thanlikely. A PIN is a parent intervention notice, meaning they would've scheduled a meeting with my parents to discuss my "problem". I also would've had to serve many a detention.

Thor 09-18-2005 05:02 PM
People think I'm a satanist cuase of my number of the beast shirt, obviously they haven't heard Iron Maiden.
The people should be exposed to more music than what is on MTV.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 05:05 PM

Maiden has the same argument I do really. Angry mothers in the 80s called them satanists, and they said, did you ever actually listen to the **** song? It's quite ridiculous, in no way are they satanists, I think they are christian actually.

Shattered_Future 09-18-2005 05:08 PM

"Mr. and Mrs. whatever your last name is, we believe your son is a satanist. You'd better check around his room, and make sure he doesn't have any weird markings on his floor or a goat under his bed."

Isn't The Number Of The Beast a song about a man's dream? Where he stumbles onto a cult sacrifice or something?

IheartSP 09-18-2005 05:11 PM

Yeah I am pretty sure that is it. They also got crap for the song Revelations becuase of the name.

Thor 09-18-2005 05:15 PM

People just think it's all about Satan because they say "666" in the song. They don't really bother to go beyond that.

Bfhurricane 09-18-2005 05:45 PM

The best Children of Bodom album by far is Hatebreeder. Every song is amazing (except Downfall is average)
- Hatebreeder, Silent Night Bodom Night, Bed of Razors, Towards Dead End, Warheart
Follow the Reaper 2nd
- Follow the Reaper, Hate Me, Children of Decadence, Kissing the Shadows
Hatecrew Deathroll - 3rd
- Needled 24/7, You're Better Off Dead, Hatecrew Deathroll

Shadows 09-18-2005 05:47 PM
The best Children of Bodom album by far is Hatebreeder. Every song is amazing (except Downfall is average)
YOU FOOL! Downfall is one of my all-time favorite CoB sings. The piano is amzing. I thought Hatebreeder had too many 'meh' songs to be their best, especially since Follow the Reaper and Something Wild didn't have a single bad song.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 05:49 PM

I'm jsut the opposite ShadowsFallen, I think it's FTR with the meh songs and Hatebreeder with every single one good.

Shadows 09-18-2005 05:53 PM

**** happens I guess. I found songs like Towards Dead End and Black Widow to have some really bland filler, even though I absolutely love the neoclassical playing in both of those.

PsychoticFlubber 09-18-2005 05:54 PM

Hmmm... not that I matter, but I am SUPPOSED to be Catholic. I havn't been to church in about two years except to attend a wedding. Before that I went every Sunday. I believe my parents know I don't believe in that crap, but oh well. I just don't want to say anything to them incase they really don't know. I tried to force myself to believe in god and all, but I just couldn't. I believe everything sucks because science in some way can prove just about everything either right or wrong...

Bfhurricane 09-18-2005 05:55 PM

Downfall is a good song with a nice keyboard intro, but the guitar sounds too much like the intro from Aces High by Iron Maiden. When i said its average i meant an average Bodom song, wich is good. I just find that every other song on Hatebreeder is better. its just my opinion. the songs on FTR sound too much alike in my opinion, though Follow the Reaper might be my favorite bodom song now

MRDuCran 09-18-2005 06:12 PM

I think i'm in love with Hate Crew Deathroll.

Shadows 09-18-2005 06:13 PM

Who isn't????

GenuineImitation 09-18-2005 06:16 PM
I think i'm in love with Hate Crew Deathroll.
Thats a great album, but Im not in love with it. My favorite is Hatebreeder. It probably has to do with the fact that it was the first bodom cd I ever heard.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 06:20 PM

lol Towards Dead End and Black Widow happen to be two of my favorites, conflicting tastes I guess?

Shadows 09-18-2005 06:21 PM

Apparently. :)

Aside from FtR, Something Wild is my favorite. It was my first CoB album long ago, and I still have fond memories of taking the burned copy with me everywhere I went, from motels to school.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 06:30 PM

I was lucky never to hear a full album first. I heard a few songs here and there, Hatebreeder grew into my favorite.

Thor 09-18-2005 06:53 PM
I was lucky never to hear a full album first. I heard a few songs here and there, Hatebreeder grew into my favorite.
That's exactly what happened to me. The first few songs I heard were "Follow The Reaper", "Bodom Beach Terror", and "Red Light In My Eyes Pt 1". I love all of them and eventually got around to buying Hatebreeder. That one is still, and probably will always be my favorite.

Silenius 09-18-2005 06:56 PM

Yes, Hatebreeder is my favorite too. Great album, makes me sad to think how good CoB used to be. :(

Thor 09-18-2005 06:56 PM

They're still good, they just don't sound the same.

IheartSP 09-18-2005 06:57 PM

It's ok, new stuff good or not, the old stuff still exists and they still play it at shows.

Shadows 09-18-2005 07:00 PM

Judging by the poll put up at cobhc.com, they'll be playing craploads of old material on their world tour.

Drunken Viking 09-18-2005 07:24 PM

Yeah I saw that to, I'm glad, Are You Dead Yet? really disapointed me.

blue3 09-18-2005 07:48 PM

I hope I get to see them live sometime.

MRDuCran 09-18-2005 07:59 PM
