That's what I do to do it If I try. But it sounds very machineish.

nowitzki 11-23-2005 12:27 PM
I can play all of A Mind Beside Itself... :)

I read the weirdest thing about Jm. He's one of 6 people in the world with black iris's in his eye.
Where did you hear that? How would anyone know that there are only 6 people in the world like that?

oh and JL>Chris Cornell

While I do quite like Cornell, and think he has a great voice at times, it just can't compete with the range and power of LaBrie. And in Audioslave his voice has got significantly worse, whereas JL has kept his voice in great condition.

Very true, but in his heyday Cornell still wins. Cornell's voice shouldn't as bad as it is, he's only like 45 or something, which isn't too much older than LaBrie. LaBrie's also a much better live singer.

Don't get me wrong, LaBrie is increadable, he's just not as high up as some others.

I didn't know Cornell was that old.

Aberrationbass 11-23-2005 01:49 PM

am i the only person who really doesn't like Cornells raspy voice?
Labrie to win!
Plus he pointed at me so gets my vote!

He's fookin scary when he just stares at you.
I dislike Cornell's voice too. Sorry everyone.

GenuineImitation 11-23-2005 03:52 PM

I like Cornell's voice, but it's not my favorite. I like LaBrie, Halford, Dickinson and Hetfield( just to name a few) much better than Cornell.

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 03:56 PM

well, I really hate grunge, so the chance of the frontman for Audioslave and Soundgarden getting my vote is slim to none.

Jev 11-23-2005 04:01 PM

Yeah, down with grunge.

scenesfromatheater 11-23-2005 04:04 PM
Yeah, down with grunge.
I don't get why everyone loves Cornell's voice so much, yeah he may have a good voice, but nothing compaired to Labrie. And where's ZP Theart on the lists:angry: .

Ya think MJK will win?

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 04:07 PM

ZP is in, don't worry Forceites

He'll get my vote, aslong as he's not against Barlow or Mustaine.

nowitzki 11-23-2005 04:08 PM

There were quite a few of my nominations that didn't make it through, but hey its only a poll, everyones opinions are different.

scenesfromatheater 11-23-2005 04:12 PM

Everyone be ready to vote for ZP, he da man. I don't rate Mustain as a vocalist, only as a guitarist/frontman. If ZP or Labrie (which they won't) don't win it, I want ol' Brucey baby to win. You can't beat a bit of Maiden.

Yes, that is right, it is my 1000th post. Thanks you , Thank you *waves to the thousands of fans*.

Congrats on the 1000 post.

nowitzki 11-23-2005 04:15 PM

JLB is currently in 2nd place comfortably in his poll.

And Zakk Wyle has a grand total of 1 vote, which I thought was a little generous personally.

I hope Freddie Mercury wins, his voice is just incredible.

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 04:16 PM

Bruce FTW, I say.

Jev 11-23-2005 04:17 PM

Well either him or LaBrie.

scenesfromatheater 11-23-2005 04:19 PM
Congrats on the 1000 post.
Nice one :thumb:

So what happens with these vocalist polls then? Is it the top 1 or 2 that go through in each round or something?

nowitzki 11-23-2005 04:19 PM

Top 5 go through to the next round.

Jev 11-23-2005 04:22 PM
Top 5 go through to the next round.
5? Isn't it normally 3 though?

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 04:23 PM
Ya think MJK will win?
I really hope not, I think he's really underrated. I mean, he can hold a note for upwards of 30 seconds, but I really don't like the way he sounds. I just don't get Tool in general. My top ten would go something like this:

1. Ian Gillan
2. Freddie Mercury
3. Roger Daltrey
4. Bruce Dickinson
5. David Bowie
6. Chris Cornell
7. Jeff Buckly
8. Jim Morrison
9. James LaBrie
10. Jon Anderson
well, I really hate grunge, so the chance of the frontman for Audioslave and Soundgarden getting my vote is slim to none.
Like HeavyRiva said, you should really give Soundgarden andTemple of the Dog a chance. Soundgarden is really more heavy metal than grunge.

Then you mean he's OVERrated. :)
And personally, he's a damn amazing vocalist, but there are definitely much better. Like laBrie........
