Iai 05-09-2005 06:17 AM

I have Trans-Europe Express on my computer but i've yet to listen to it. Any Kraftwerk at all in fact. I feel like such a criminal.
dont waste another second, do now.

I've been listening to the new Spoon and Dredg and I'm really liking Mr Bungle's self titled.

EonBlueApcolyps 05-09-2005 03:07 PM

I just listened to Yes for the first time. Wow

talk show host 05-09-2005 03:26 PM

My housemate made me a compilation cd with lots of Kate Bush, the Walker Brothers and Bright Eyes on it so i'm digging that at the moment.

Kate Bush rocks my world.

The Ashtray Girl 05-09-2005 03:46 PM

From Hell
The Barracudas
Beehive & Barracudas
The Stooges

br3ad_man 05-10-2005 12:42 AM

Rebelling against seemingly popular A&I opinion, I am listening to Cryptopsy. Other bands I have listened to today include The Strokes and Frank Zappa.

freetheunfreeworld 05-10-2005 02:48 AM

Chilln out listening to Tocotronic. A German band who everybody should listen too. everybody!!

Tomahawk 05-11-2005 08:12 AM

Been digging Nick Drake today, it's put me in a great mood.

Also been digging Picaresque, didn't give it much credit at first but now I'm thinking it's probably in my top 5 for the year so far.

asymm 05-11-2005 10:27 AM

Yesterday:
Spoon - Gimme Fiction
Ride - Nowhere

Today:
The National - Alligator
^ Amazing album. Such a completely refined sound. Emotive melodies filled out with the gorgeous baritone doesn't hurt either.

Wanker 05-11-2005 01:01 PM

Been listening to Broken Social Scene for the last two days.

Robert Crumb 05-11-2005 02:46 PM

Today so far:

Sun Ra - The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, Vol. 1
Big Star - Radio City
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

Doctor D. 05-11-2005 02:49 PM

Prince Paul - A Prince Among Thieves
MF Doom (Especially his mix of Public Enemy's "Bring The Noise")
Ugly Duckling - Taste The Secret

Iai 05-11-2005 03:03 PM

The Zombies - Oddessey & Oracle.

I could see this album surpassing Forever Changes as my favourite 60s album, I really could.

Zappa 05-11-2005 03:04 PM

That's good, because Forever Changes is one of the most hilariously bad things about the entire decade.

Iai 05-11-2005 03:05 PM

Pfft.

The Books - Lost And Safe
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle

NineBitFable 05-11-2005 06:23 PM

First b-sides I've ever enjoyed as much as an actual album.

Zmev 05-11-2005 06:27 PM

Kraftwerk - Computer World

Rockafella 05-11-2005 06:28 PM

You Fail Me - Converge.

How come nobody ever told me how good these guys were?! ...oh wait.

Happymeal 05-11-2005 07:55 PM

Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecologyst
Maudlin of the Well - Bath

The rest of my day:

Brian Eno - Another Green World
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Bob Marley - Rebel Music

biografiend 05-11-2005 08:52 PM
Laughing Stock remains the most phenomenal-sounding album I've ever heard. I've never heard any other album that sounds so organic (I guess that's the word I'm looking for).
I'm just now getting into them, and they seem so.....fresh (possibly? i cant find the right word either) and for some reason remind me of the way rain smells; i have no idea why.

Zappa 05-11-2005 09:03 PM

Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes. I'm always amazed at how good these guys are, but I still neglect them thoroughly.

AK47 05-11-2005 09:21 PM

The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
Hot Snakes - Audit in Progress

br3ad_man 05-12-2005 12:45 AM
Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes. I'm always amazed at how good these guys are, but I still neglect them thoroughly.
I've gotta agree with that. I've been listening to "Yank Crime" a lot.

Tomahawk 05-12-2005 12:10 PM

Today was all about Primal Scream (finally I kind of understand the love for Screamadelica), and They Might Be Giants.

Doctor D. 05-12-2005 02:28 PM
Today was all about Primal Scream (finally I kind of understand the love for Screamadelica), and They Might Be Giants.
I've been digging on TMBG's self titled today. It's possibly my favorite from them.

Interstate 05-12-2005 02:30 PM
The new Mountain Goats album is also quite great.
 I didn't even know he had a new one out.

Shows how much of a fan I am :upset:

Today I listened to:

Iron And Wine - Woman King EP
The Commodores - (some mixtape my dad made ages ago and I borrowed it to listen to it driving to college)
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
The Books - Lost And Safe
British Sea Power - The Decline Of British Sea Power

Iai 05-12-2005 02:33 PM

I'm still really heavily digging Odessey & Oracle.

Also, Chemical Brothers - Surrender, and Slint - Spiderland.

Right this second, though, I'm in a Beautiful South mood.

"Oh, Deborah, Alison, Phillipa, Sue...."
