Here's what I was wearing for spirit day at school during 80's day. This was my mom's dress back in the 80's. I wore it with a misfits shirt over it, and some snakeskin tights. Everything was from the 80's.

I really like this dress, and it looks really DIY, but it's not. My mom bought it from a UK brand of clothes called boy. Still a really cool dress, though. If I liked wearing dresses, I'd wear this a lot.

Couldn't you just throw them in the bathtub with water and then pour bleach in with the water? I bleached my vest and I did that and it faded slowly, if you want them really faded just pour the bleach all over. And don't wear a good shirt because you might think "oh how is bleach going to get on my shirt, it's like two feet away in the bathtub" but believe me bleach gets everywhere even if you think you're being clean.

me and my mate want to put stencils on t-shirts. What would we need to buy so it can go through the wash?

You can buy fabric paint in spray cans, but normal spray paint works just fine.

Someone else may know more than I.

Hmmm well I know that it's not really DIY to ask this but does anybody have any ideas for a good Bomb The Music Industry! stencil? All I can come up with are random slogans... I'm just a bit stuck when it comes to some description of picture to use...

stencil i found in the link at the begining of the thread. sorry if its been done five million times in this thread, i was just kind of happy with how it turned out. thats probably the 3rd time ive stenciled something.
