Congrats to the new super mods. I am floating around between food, hw, S&L and here...so I will comment from time to time :)

Bartender 11-08-2004 06:32 PM

Thanks everyone.
Congratulations, Bartender and [insert random numbers here].

So, what should I do on my day-off? Besides some meager study.
You could read the entire CAD archive.

Looks like i'm too late for the big reputation points giveaway?

Riva 11-08-2004 07:02 PM

Way ahead of you Bartender. I'm going backwards, but I just got past the Fallout 3 crusade. That series is friggin' hilarious.

/reputes Per Ardua for a whopping 1 point. :thumb:

Nah, still somewhat generous, so I just repped everyone on this page that I haven't already today. That's it for now though, I've done far too many for one day.

Cipher Hour 11-08-2004 07:11 PM

Dammit! A reputation points giveaway? Why wasn't I informed? Oh well... :smoke:

You rock :thumb:...

I now have over 800 :D

How good is CAD? The only online comics I have ever read was Penny's Arcade, which was pretty good, but I am not motivated to read it often...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Cipher Hour again.

No good :(

Go read my prose piece? :naughty:

Riva 11-08-2004 07:14 PM

 God**** those players 1,2 and 3 are hilarious. From CAD I mean.

Anyways, I'm in an '80s mood today. Currently going through every '80s pop, rock and metal band I have on my comp. It's about a days worth of songs though, so I think I'll be here for a while.

I've got prior appointments. But I'll get around to it in about an hour or so. :thumb:

Do you know of Journey?

Riva 11-08-2004 07:20 PM

Suprisingly, no. What genre?

I remember once I decided to listen to every downloaded audio file I had on my computer. I shied from that when it turned out to be 28 hours.

zepfan: www.ctrlaltdel-online.com Just check it out for yourself :) It's my personal favourite webcomic, and I read quite a few.

Riva 11-08-2004 07:23 PM

Seen Full Frontal Nerdity yet, Bartender?

Currently Playing: Alice Cooper - Poison

80's, sort of between metal and classic rock. Lots of hits, check em out.

Only 28 hours Bartender? 236 here :p

Riva 11-08-2004 07:31 PM

Good stuff. I will.

Check out Full Frontal Nerdity as well, zepfan.

*checks* Frighteningly, my media player now also has 236 hours on it. 236:04:43.

That's not downloaded though..it's just most of my CDs ripped to the computer.

Yeah, I've read some FFN now. It's good, and I'm nerdy enough to get all the D&D jokes, even if I don't actually play myself :)

zepfan: Journey - Remember Me?

Riva 11-08-2004 07:39 PM

Yes, the large majority of my songs are ripped off of CDs.

I'm thinking of getting fast food for lunch. What should I have?

Currently playing: Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills

BoboTheRagingHobo 11-08-2004 07:39 PM

Any one ever heard of the online comic called Real Life? Its pretty good, you should check it out if you like online comics.

Permanent Solution 11-08-2004 07:42 PM

Most of mine are ripped to, I didn't bring my CDs to college with me.

Ripa: Get Mexican fast food.

Bartender: I don't know that one, I only have the greatest hits :/

Riva 11-08-2004 07:45 PM

Hehe, I've only played it once with my cousin. I don't think I'm a hardcore enough nerd to get really into it, though I do love fantasy books, games, movies. David Eddings is my favourite author, right behind is Raymond Feist and Robert Jordan. And I love RPGs and RTS that are based in medieval/fantasy settings.

Currently Playing: The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary

I was thinking of getting myself some takeaway as well, for some kind of strange meal that takes place at 2am.

Bobo - haven't read that one actually. I'll have a look at it later, after reading more Full Frontal.

Yeah, me neither, that's why I've got so much on this computer.

Remember Me, I'm pretty sure is a Journey song. I think it was on the Armageddon soundtrack.

Riva 11-08-2004 07:49 PM

Hey, Bartender! I finally found some Galadriel. The bass player also plays flute, as I have discovered. And the guitars do sound very fuzzy. I haven't found the song that I heard before, but I have another one. Really progressive rock, I'd say.

Yeah, I think I'm at the same kind of level as you. I seem to love everything but the LARPs and D&D-style games.

Have you ever read any R.A. Salvatore?

Yep, I have the Crystal Shard trilogy, and a few of the books on Drizzt. Drizzt is the man. :p

Bartender 11-08-2004 08:07 PM

Good  Drizzt certainly is awesome.
