You know. . . I started reading this thread from the first page thinking that maybe I might learn something. I got to page 16 and started thinking, "Man, how many posts are in this thread?" So I hit last. . . lemme tell ya. there are wayyyyyy too many posts on this thread. it's gotta be a record or something. oh and by the way. . . zao and killswitch engage. that's all there is that's good about metalcore. thank you.

I have a question: do any of you believe (like I do) that "screamo" and "melodic hardcore" are genres by themselves or just household names. But to me most of what [B]Shane Italian [/B] is pretty on the money, but I always considered [I]Death Threat[/I] to be metalcore, and by the way, [I]American Nightmare[/I], no longer exists. Just Kidding they go by the name [I]Give Up the Ghost[/I] now, they're good. But seriously "melodic hardcore", "screamo" are they genres by themselves?

Screamo isn't a genre. Just because a band screams they get their own genre? I don't think so.

i went and saw both those bands last night, i was the best show iver ever been to

I saw Fear Before The March Of Flames like three weeks ago. They weren't that good....

really i thought they were pretty good, i got those 2 awesome bands then like 3 local bands for like $7

Fear Before the March of Flames, say they're from Colorado, hey I live in Colorado, and yes they are one of the best, that's some crazy guitar, but the best hardcore band has got to be Converge.

Fear Before The March Of Flames isn't hardcore.
