1. Creed isnt rap by any means
2. They arent gonna start rockin out like classic rock because
A. Thats not their style, bands dont have to sound like you want them to
B. THEY BROKE UP
3. Rock n Roll cant die..... ever, it just wont
4. Once again Creed is not rap nor were they trying to be

We talk about Classic Rock in here, not what bands need to become classic rock

Against Miik! 08-19-2004 03:55 PM

Who else thinks we should have a test for all users that want to post in here. It's one of the last good ongoing threads in the forums, and its being ruined by uneducated noobs.

Tom Petty is king. Shame we don't talk about him much here for some reason... Mike Campell is one of my favorite guitarists.

I really don't think that's going to happen. I mean, I really don't. Though it would be nice. Besides, if somebody is making trouble we can just go get superpeer or stagefrighten or that random numbery guy to kick some *** :D

Notice how i'm making less posts now? It's because 4 posts in a row makes the thread look bad ;)

Led Zeppelin rule!!! 08-19-2004 04:45 PM

Classic Rock ie Good Rock died on August the 1st, 1981

Woodstock 08-19-2004 05:00 PM

If you want a test miik, make them read the whole thread.

I did it when I wasnt even a member and it did introduce me to alot more great bands.

Yeah. The thread is good to read anyway. We've covered so many issues, bands, things.

It might even be an entertaining read.

Anyone on here listen to Argent? They're one of my dads favorite bands and now I'm starting to get into them. They aren't great but I just look for lesser-known bands to bring up.

Woodstock 08-19-2004 07:49 PM

lunch998 08-19-2004 07:55 PM

Late 60's early 70's.

You are a genious. Also to Paranoidd, I work outside so I can't go on :upset:

Paranoidd 08-19-2004 09:58 PM

Working outside sucks.

I have a desk job. My boss sometimes comes out of his office and does my work, because I bitch I have too much. Meanwhile, I'm on MX forums half the time, and trying to personally resolve the NHL labor dispute the other half.

I only really work from 3-6 pm.

And I have my own radio, and my collection of 200 CD's, and I've made it clear that I won't turn off my radio for anyone, and nobody fcuks with me. If I want to play Slayer when I have a born-again christian sitting behind me (which I do), then tough.

Me > Work
My salary >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Me

The only drawback is I make crap money.

Uhhhh yeah that was a bit of a rant, but I'm high :smoke: :D

Paranoidd 08-19-2004 10:00 PM
how did mtv kill rock? just out of curiosity
Video killed the radio star.

Nobody wants to watch Jerry Garcias pale hippy arse waddling around when they could see Amy Lee.

Not to knock Jerry, his pale hippie arse made some great tunes. :D

lunch998 08-19-2004 10:01 PM

Woo hoo. Someones high. I'm happy for you, makes everything more interesting.

Yea I put in sprinkler systems. Manual labor, but only until September. Make a **** load of money though, so I can handle the work. I worked 11-9 today. YEA! But its ok because I'll have an American Strat in about another two weeks. I wish I was high. :upset:
