I've never had a friend recommend me a metalcore band, or a good band period.

I try to recommend to others. I even go down to the lowest of the low just to edge them in the direction of something good (even if in a few years). I kid you not I know someone who's taste is so bad I actually recommended they listen to Bullet For My Valentine.

i cant get my friend to listen to anything more than radiohead and john frusciante. i know i'm not a musical encyclopedia but if she plays kid A one more time...

I have some friends that recommend good indie rock and some other rock stuff, but as far as metal I'm the local guru.

Sometimes I'll throw on some metalcore during parties and just stand up and chug a beer while headbanging. Now see to me that sounds fun.

yeah i much prefer listening to hard rock (Clutch, Mustache etc), some metalcore, and thrash at parties but unfortunately im never that lucky
